XM193 product is high quality product manufactured at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant for Federal Cartridges. It is made to Federal specifications typical for commercial ammunition.

5.56x45mm, manufactured at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP)
Brass (Copper Alloy No. 260)
55 gr. FMJ Boat-Tail
M41 Operating Range: (-40 degrees to +125 degrees F)
Water resistant lacquer
Each loaded cartridge shall be headstamped with the manufacturer's symbol and year of manufacture
3165 +/- 40 FPS (78 feet from muzzle) using a 5.56 test barrel, 20" long

100% mechanical and/or electrical detection of propellant levels within the cartridge
100% visual inspection of finished cartridges prior to packaging
For use in standard 5.56 mm chambers. Do not use in non-standard 5.56 chambers.

I bought this ammo trying to save some money, man am I glad I did. If you just want to go the range you can't beat the price. I shot 1,000 rounds, not 1 jam in my Bushmaster M4A3. And as always CTD with their speedy service.

This is really great ammo! Ordered 500 rounds. So far I've fired 160 of em and not a single misfire! Really accurate on my Kel Tec SU-16CA!

I have used federal ammunition in the past and had decided to purchase this for a brand new DPMS sporticle. I took it to the range yesterday and it would not cycle correctly. The initial round would fire and the next would feed and the pin actually struck the primer on two separate occasions. I was forced to partially pull back the charging handle in order for the trigger to reset. I ran only 40 rounds through the rifle and had to clean it due to heavy fouling, especially in the gas tube. Two range instructors looked at it and both said the malfunction is due to the ammunition. I don't know if anyone else will have the same problems as I did, but be aware. I will spend more money on Remington or Hornady for now on.

These work great in my Bushmaster but the price has gone up Better buy what you want now. Ammo prices are on the rise again.

This is your typical 5.56 XM193. Accuracy is good, the brass was clean, and they all went bang (WOULD EXPECT NO LESS FROM FRDERAL). The price is right and these rounds do what they were designed for.
