Modeled after popular AK designs, these screw-on compensators are designed to easily attach to standard AK barrels equipped with 14x1LH threads. The classic designs reduce recoil and muzzle rise during firing. Finished in Black phosphate and stamped "TAPCO USA". Each muzzle brake counts as one U.S. Sec 922r compliant part. This brake looks very slick and well made. Went on very easy, though you may have to go one more click to keep tight. Didn't really reduce the recoil that much. But over all I'm satisfied.

I put this on my WASR-10. It needs thread locker to keep from wobbling. The ports are too small to reduce recoil effectively.

Bought this break four mounths ago and sofar put 2000 rounds through it. It performs per fect.Fit right on my ak would recomend to ev eryone that knows anthing about ak rifles. Some reviews you can tell they don't know much.Should go get proper training.

The laws of physics must be a little different where I shoot than where everyone else who left a review shoots. I got four brakes and four ak's and compared them. I had a muzzle nut, a slant brake, the tapco slot muzzle brake, and this one. This brake actually made the muzzle rise and recoil worse than with only the muzzle nut. I don't mean a little worse, I'm talking very noticeable. It effected my Draco pistol the most making it almost impossible to control. This product is a total POS do not waste your money! On the other hand the tapco slot brake was fantastic.

The name says it all nice brake less rise, less flash, does what it's suppose to. It fit my Romanian AK perfectly, and installed in about 10 seconds. I would recommend to anyone. Thanks CTD.
