This mount does just fine. If you’re looking for precision get the sidemount, it’s more stable and just better. Of course if you wanted precision you probably shouldn't have gotten an AK. Also, I had to do a lot of filing to get it to fit my norinco AK; on the front and safety slide wouldn't click until I filed down. So after a lot filing the finish looked like crap so I had to repaint it. So if you have a norinco be prepared to do some extra work.

I bought this bolt cover replacement a few days ago for my Romanian AK. The only problem is this piece is mass produced so it is unlikely it will fit your AK right out of the box. I spent about 15min with a flat file grinding back of the cover down to get a proper fit. (if you have a dremil tool you could do this in 5min probably). After I got it filed down it fit snuggly and seems as sturdy as the oem cover. I have shot the gun with it on yet but I would recommend this rail to all AK owners.

This works great with my Yugo M70ab2. Although I did have to file about a half inch off the front, taking my time I spent about 30 minutes filing then fitting until it was perfect. I mounted a $40 dot scope from ctd. This thing holds zero perfect, until you have to remove it to clean. I was able to get a 6 inch group at 100yd with this and the leaper dot scope. My friends like shooting mine more than their ar's now. I would recommend this mount for the price.

This fit my WASR easily after a 5 min Dremel grind. My scope fits great and I can still using iron sights through it.

Got the mount because the iron sights are worthless. Replaced the original cover with the mount, put on a Bushnell 3x9 scope and laser-bore sighted the gun. Went to the range and was shooting 1 inch groups at 50 yards with cheap surplus ammo. At 100 yards, my gun was shooting 1 1/2 to 2 inch groups consistently. Went home and cleaned the gun thoroughly and went back to the range the following week. No problem, point of aim did not change. Have been to the range multiple times and taken the mount on and off several times with no change in point of impact. This is a great mount for the money and will improve your shooting.
