Purchased for indoor use with a 1911. The Mil-Spec 1911 is particularly tedious at 25 yards with a black bulls eye. The old Colt's miniature sights simply get lost in the black background under low light levels. Even in bright, outdoor lighting conditions, reacquiring a correct sight picture rapidly after firing takes great concentration. The red-orange marking against the off-white background allow the small, dark, open military sights to stand out against the target. Reacquiring the correct sight picture for a double tap is greatly enhanced.
