The Phoenix Technologies Field Series line of stocks features improved ergonomics and an adjustable stock for increased adaptability. The Tactical Stock includes the stock, pistol grip and (12 gauge) shot shell carrier and features a 6 postion collapsible stock with a 11.5" to 15" length of pull. Made in USA. I absolutely love this stock. I have gone through two other uncomfortable stocks and settled on this one. Solid construction. With side-saddle loaded, it balances a 500 with 20 inch barrel nicely. Grip is hollow. Great for smaller people, nice padding, recoil not bad. I do wish, however, the angle was somehow different. It just doesn't "fit" in my normal shotgun hold.

Installation is easy. The butt is padded, the fit is tight. My only complaint is that the description does not state that the shot shell holder does not come attached. However, it's an easy install. A simple Phillips screw driver and it's on.

The unit arrived very fast, is built well, and installation took less than five minutes. It's very comfortable, and easy to use. Was a perfect fit on my Mossberg 500c ( 20 gauge). However, the 20 gauge shells do not fit the shell holder. They are for 12s, not 20s.

I bought this stock and tried it out for a couple months before writing this review. It's really well made and fit nicely on my Mossberg 500. No extra mods needed to make it fit, but after taking it out and shooting it, it felt really solid like it wouldn't break. The only flaw for which I couldn't give it a 5 was you have to take the stock off to disassemble the shotgun for cleaning because it blocks the trigger housing from coming out, so I switched back to my original stock.

Some of the reviews I read on here are retarded. If you can't look at the picture and see that the pistol grip butts straight up to the Trigger guard then you don't know your firearm very well. This was a very nice accessory and did exactly what I wanted to.

Ordered Tues, was putting it on my 590 Thurs morning. Easy install, love the overall look & functioning, though agree with displeasure over the gaps near trigger group, but the price was right & my shotty never looked tougher! CTD comes thru as usual, thanks!

I purchased this and it fits the gun, but has gap between and covers part of the trigger housing that is cosmetically displeasing and also makes it so that you have to take off the stock to remove the trigger group... Although a little ugly and cumbersome to maintenance, it fits and does the job.

1) The pistol-grip mounts to my 590's receiver like a glove. 2) My order came with the saddle-mount, which is one reason I ordered it (a $20 value). It holds 5 shells, and mounts quite easily on the left or right of the butt-stock. (Not sure why someone else didn't receive their saddle-mount.) 3) My "complaint" about the tactical stock: when I received it, the stock part was quite loose and would wobble and jiggle all over the place. I was going to return it. After some time, I took the stock completely apart and found an additional hex-screw hidden inside the molded plastic. The manufacturer did not include an allen-key for this screw, but luckily I had a spare 1/4" key in my tool-box. I tightened down this hidden screw and voila! -- the whole unit is rock-solid now, and I really like it!

Fits my Mossberg great and has a awesome recoil pad on the buttstock. Only reason I didnt give it a 5 bullet is because it didnt come with the shot carrier like I thought but still good.
