After months of frustration with my DPMS Oracle LR308, I am writing this review as it appears that the majority of my issues stem from the "DPMS factory" magazines sold here and elsewhere. I have purchased two of these type of magazines, including the similar DPMS MGMA3082 (CTD # 2-MGDPMA3082). The magazines have slight cosmetic differences but otherwise are identical; all have a floorplate stamped "DPMS Panther Arms" with the panther logo. ALL of these magazines have horrendous rates of failure. Firing roughly 75 rounds through these magazines in 5 round strings, I have yet to find any type of ammuntion (I've tried about 6 different types so far) that does not either fail to feed or fail to lock the magazine back. I am going to buy a Magpul PMAG and report back. I am also going to contact DPMS. This seems to be a known issue that they are not responding to.

These mags are about the worst you can get. They will not feed nato 7.62x51 rounds, only commercial .308 rounds. They only hold 19 rounds, instead of 20. Buy a Magpul LR308 PMAG that holds 20 rounds and feeds flawlessly with Nato or commercial spec 7.62 rounds.

These are useless mags in a DPMS LR-308. I returned 2 to DPMS, the 2 replacements that I got back did not work. I returned those 2 and had DPMS send me a 4 and 10 round mag. None of those would feed the first round, and after a round was placed in the chamber and fired the second round jammed. I tried several tests with these mags. They are official JUNK. I purchased a C-mag 10 rounder that has functioned flawlessly. DO NOT BUY any of these mags. DPMS needs to get their butts in gear and fix this because the entire staff knows this is an issue.

Great Mags but they will only work on the DPMS brand rifles! They will not fit any other brand!! I own an Armalight AR-10 308, and these mags will not fit my rifle!!! BEWARE!!!!
