I bought this riser because I have a Daniel Defense rear sight on my M4. I was getting tired of having to take it off just to mount the scope. I've used Lion Gears risers before and they work great, so I came across this one and thought I'd give it a try. Great investment. The riser sits perfectly in front of the rear sight and the scope sits right above the DD sight! If you have a non-folding rear sight, get this bridge mount!

Finally I tried this modular bridge mount and I LOVE it! Great deal! A 45 angle mount sits under this 1” riser, all in a very light weight and compact form. The riser is about 1/3 of the weight of my old 1” riser. Now I have my Bushnell 2.5-16x42mm on the riser and TruGlo open sight on the angle mount. It allows me to keep the scope for long range and target shooting. In closer range, I can easily shoot with the reflex sight by slightly twisting, while keeping my cheek resting on the stock. Perfect setup! I want to have both scope and open sight together, not either/or. This setup works beautifully. I could not trust placing the scope on a QD mount, a bad idea that will definitely lose your POI after remount. Plus, the riser has steel bolts locking into steel nuts, very solid product. I had a bad experience before with parts that bolted into aluminum. Thread stripping and bolt loosen is bound to happen for those items. Steel to steel locking is a must for all my rifle accessories. Overall, excellent design and decent quality.
