Works as advertised, but takes a little practice. The loader is made of decent quality - the base is plastic while the knob is aluminum. I bought this for a S&W .44 Mag but it also works for a Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull in a pinch. I am not 100% sure where it is made. The only location listed is on the package and is for the company location which is in KY, so I assume it is America. I only gave it "4 stars" because the base could be made out of aluminum to increase durability. But it should last a long time.
