I have one of these feeders and the spinner (feed thrower) is very fragible and did not last two years. I have tried to return it since it has a life time warranty, but have not been able to get any satisfaction. If not for the spinner being weak, I would buy another one. Batteries seem to last a very reasonable time (Energizers).
