I used to reload with my dad in my teens. He set it all up and I would do a lot of the press work with him supervising. It always looked very difficult, but this kit made it very easy for me. I've loaded a few hundred 38 Special, and over 300 .223 using different bullets and powder charges. I had a blast reloading and even more fun shooting the ammo I loaded. This kit was easy for me. All you need is dies and components, and you can start loading. The breech lock sleeves worked great with all my dies, and I was able to change them out easily. I'm very happy with the kit.

I bought this press and I learned how to reload with info on this site. I used online load data from Hogdon's web site. This kit + bullets, primers, powder and brass are all you need. I found it easy to set up and use. I drilled holes in a 2x4 to hold the press and attached it with bolts and wing nuts. When I need to reload I can clamp the 2x4 with my press to a workbench or table. This is very portable if you want it to be. I can load about 60 rounds per hour so far. The turret press would be a bit faster. (this speed is like earning $28/hr without paying taxes!) Powder measure is very consistent. Extras like primer pocket cleaner and shell holders are nice. Scale is a little hard to read until you get used to it. (It reads like manual calipers.) I started with .38 / .357 dies and have had no problems with the press. I will get calipers before I get semi auto dies to be sure overall length is OK. Great kit for getting started.

I love the breech lock system. All my dies are prelocked so I can change from my .223 to .45 to .40 cal with just a twist. Its great.
