I really like the way this stock looks and feels. I had to file down part of the stock so that the trigger assembly would fit back into my Yugo SKS. Everything fits tightly into the stock and the Blade Cut stock is the one you need if you have a Yugo SKS. I purchased the matching Tapco gas tube and handguard off of gunbroker so that I wouldn't have to worry about drilling the old handguard off the original gas tube. Now I have two gas tubes so that I can convert back to the wood stock with ease. The only problem is, you might have to do a little bit of filing to get this stock to fit. Thanks CTD and Tapco.

This was a very nice stock, the receiver dropped right in no problems. But I changed it back to the original wood stock. I just did not care for the feel and the look just not for me.. I have conversion stocks I have aftermarket stock on my 10/22 and my Nagant, I just did not care for this one. I can not say I had any problems with it, I like the feel and the way it shoots with the wooden stock. But I have to give it 4 bullets as far as fit and ease of installation.

I got this for my Yugo SKS. It fits fairly well, however compared to the original it does not keep the trigger assembly as tight and the whole action and barrel tightness is decreased. I put my finger on the receiver cover and push up and down and it will click and move back and forth. The rod that connects the adjustable stock to the rest of the furniture will move up and down within about 1/4" or 1/3" even when locktite is used (and no they are not stripped). The blade bayonet also is not parallel to the barrel as the original one is, it is like 10 degrees off. The gas tube also is lower in the back near the rear sight, which leaves an uneven gap near the front end of the synthetic rail. If you look closely at all the pictures of this set, the same is true of all these things. It doesnt effect your shootability much as far as I can tell, its mostly just small looks, but they were big enough to bother me, I expected better from the USA's leader in aftermarket SKS parts. Also I felt more recoil with the synthetic on it. The original wood stock did have a rubber buttpad and I know tapco makes one for the T6 stock, so that is a quick fix. I love the look it gave my SKS, but I wouldn't take this set on my SKS out in the field with me. (On second thought I probably wouldn't even take my SKS out with me in the first place)

These stocks are excellent quality and install in minutes. I have a Russian SKS that has a superb wooden stock that I wanted to keep in great shape. Spending the money to outfit the weapon in the OD green scheme was an easy solution. It is functional, and with a little money this carbine is now ready for hunting and all the rigors that go with the outdoors. Don't forget to get the rubber pad for the stock butt and a muzzle brake. These two items make the SKS feel almost like shooting a 10/22. I am impressed with the quality.

I agree!! I have 2 Yugo's and I replaced the original wood stock with this Tapco stock. They look great and are very functional, as well as durable. If you own a Yugo SKS and are looking for a replacement stock, THIS IS THE ONE!

Stock looks great on my Yugo! IF you own a Yugoslavian SKS and want an aftermarket stock, GET THIS ONE! This is the best looking stock for it! The ONLY thing I don't like about it is that fact that you have to take the pistol grip off every time you want to remove the trigger assembly. Other that that, GET IT!
