Trance -
This Chad Los Banos design fashionably combines a functionally powerful AUS-8 blade with an ergonomically shaped handle made of fiber reinforced nylon. The blade locks open with the Frame Lock mechanism. The stainless steel pocket clip keeps it close at hand. Blade length: 2 3/4". Overall length: 6 1/4". Weight: 3.2 ounces.

Wharncliffe Blade -
A Wharncliffe blade is similar in profile to a sheep's foot but the curve of the back edge starts closer to the handle and is more gradual. Its blade is much thicker than a knife of comparable size. It is similar to the Saxon and Viking Seax.

AUS 8 -
A Japanese made medium carbon, high chromium stainless steel, which offers a good balance of toughness, edge sharpness and corrosion resistance.

Frame Lock -
Also known as the Integral Lock or Monolock. The Frame Lock is a locking mechanism invented by custom knife maker Chris Reeve for the Sebenzas an update to the liner lock. The Frame Lock works in a manner similar to the liner lock but uses a partial cutout of the actual knife handle, rather than a separate liner inside the handle to hold the blade in place.

I am on my second one of these,lost the first one. I have many knives but choose to carry this. Other than being a sturdy, sharp and light tool, it is less costly than many and not a hard hit when it is lost. I always will have one in reserve just in case.

No bells or whistles here,just a good solid knife.The slim profile of this knife makes it comfortable to carry,fit's the hand very well and the blade is very sharp.The Wharncliffe blade is offset from the handle just a bit,which provides extreme cutting power.If your looking for a good everyday do everything knife that's strong and surprisingly light and won't break the bank then you can't go wrong with this little gem from Boker.
