Slide Sharp Sharpening System -
Slide Sharp is a simple, economical knife sharpening system that holds your blade at the correct angle to achieve a sharp edge quickly, every time. The kit includes two sharpening guides. One is a slight angle for putting an edge on sport, work, tactical and kitchen knives. The second has a steeper angle for heavier tools such as choppers and machetes. It also comes with two porcelain sharpening rods. You begin with the coarser gray rod and finish the edge with the fine white rod. The sharpening guides maintain the edge angle and do the work for you. There is no guessing, no rounded edges and no loss of blade shape from over sharpening. It is inexpensive and portable and even includes its' own storage case.

This item is alright if all you have to do is a little touch-up to keep your blades sharp,kind a like using a steel only safer.Not much help if you have a dull blade.Takes some practise,but once you get the hang of it it's an easy way to maintain your knives.One thing I did find out,it is very good with carbon steel blades,if you remember to keep the ceramic rods clean.

Well let me just say if you have a lot of patience and want to sit there for hours trying to get your knife somewhat sharp then this is for you. I bought this to try to sharpen a CRKT M16-14D and I was very disappointed with it. Its not sturdy at all and then to top it off I accidentally dropped one of the rods and it broke in half. In the end I ended up taking my knife to get sharpened by a professional. I’m pretty sure if you have a knife made out of cheap metal then it might work a little better. Bottom line, don’t waste your time and money just buy something else.
