i have over the years worn out a few soft Arkansas stones. i purchased this one and found it to be a bit larger than the smith's stone... really nice. oiled it up and passed my cold steel large clip point voyager across it and was back to shaving sharpness in no time. the surface is really large and super flat, so you can use long strokes to form your edge quickly. great price and great service, ordered Sunday, received Tuesday... keep up the good work CTD.

This is a great sharpening stone manufactured by Lansky, very high quality. Worked great on my larger knives by Cold Steel and Ontario where sharpening rods were ineffective. Also suitable for medium size pocket knives.
