These grip-panels for the 1911 Government-model pistol are made from a proprietary thermoplastic elastomer, with a coarse pebble-grain surface texture for a non-slip grip. The material is extremely durable, and withstands the application of common gun oils and solvents. The RH panel is relieved for the use of an ambidextrous thumb-safety that is secured by the panel.
