Used this mount on my M4-style lightweight patrol rifle. Since the rifle has a standard front sight, I needed a riser mount for the Redfield dot sight, but I wanted a quick detachable style so I could go back to irons in an emergency. This mount was just the ticket! Once it's adjusted properly, it is rock-solid and a snap to remove!
