Tula ammunition from the Ulyanovsk Cartridge works in Russia is high-quality ammunition. This is steel cased, Berdan-primed, Bimetal jacket (copper over steel), non-corrosive and non-reloadable. This ammo has polymer coated steel cases. Simply put, this is some of the best ammo on the market today at a great price.

The cartridge 7.62×39 is used for sporting and hunting shooting through bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles and carbines. The cartridge keeps its qualities under various climatic and weather conditions independent of the season and at a temperature from - 50 to + 50 C. The cartridge complies with CIP requirements. The firearm models Ruger Mini 30 and SKS are deployed to run the acceptance tests of cartridges. The phosphate polymer coating cartridge case is bottled-shaped with non-projecting flange and made of steel.

I've bought a great deal of this ammo. More and more rounds pound out of my WASR-10 and I've NEVER had a problem. It's a bit dirty is my only quip about it. Proper "Kudos" for the fact that I've stored some of this ammo for over a year in rough conditions and it still shot with no issues and no rust. Thanks CTD!

I've not tried the soft point, but I have all other types of TulAmmo. So far, I have had zero issues with this brand of ammo.

I bought a quantity of these and pulled the bullet on one for inspection. I found that the bullet was indeed a lead core soft point bullet. However the bullet casing is "copper over steel". Therefore the bullet will not mushroom and expand! So what is the point? Can anyone enlighten me?

Be advised, the picture of these cartridges indicates 154 grains. They are in fact 124 grains as per the description .
