The Midwest Industries Flip Up Front Sight Gas Block Mount Model uses a standard AR15 A2 style front sight post. The tall flip up front sight mounts to a Short Picatinny Rail Gas Block that sits below the mounting plane of your RIS Rail Forearm and Rear Iron BUIS Sight plane. FFG front sight automatically locks in the raised position with a robust locking detent button and folds to the front in the down position. Constructed with 6061 aluminum and hard coat anodized for a lifetime service. Also works with DPMS Sportical.

Good solid sight. Mounts easily; wished it had allenhead screw like the rear, but uses flathead screwdriver. FDE color has a gold tint to it compared to Magpul furniture, and isn't an exact match to the MI rear sight I ordered at the same time. Mounted, the sight flips towards the muzzle with the detent release button on the Right side. Works well with the way my light mounts but this is opposite of the rear sight. POI seems consistent even after flipping the sight up/down several times.
