The SKS-A3 is a 40-rd magazine designed for SKS rifles and carbines. The magazine body and follower are constructed of a proprietary DuPont Zytel based polymer to ensure a long service life. The springs are made from heat treated Chrome-silicon wire for increased reliability and smooth feeding. Made in the U.S.A.

I have four of these and a Tapco! Wow, these ProMags are hit or miss. I'm so sick of ProMag brand. I had a few that worked great, but I dropped them and cracked the feed lips on two of my good mags, when they fell off my bed. Three of my mags worked after major work before they were dropped, but I had to come back and invest in something better. IDK if it is Tapco, but it isn't this for something you'd bet your life on!!!

I got this mag to replace a steel 27 round mag I had. The cartridges were sliding forward and hitting beneath the receiver and causing the SKS to jam. I was excited when the box got here nicely packed but when I loaded all the rounds in this mag it does the exact same thing as the steel magazine did.

I would give it 5 bullets, but it is slightly difficult to load the magazine. I have used it with the original wooden stock for the Chinese SKS and a Tapco Fusion stock kit. I do realize that the SKS does not have good tolerances also. Other than that, I bought 2 and have put about 200 rounds total through them and so far so good.

This works way better than STEEL MAGS. They suck. I haven't gotten to bumpfire yet, but I don't think it will let me down. I filed the wrong part on one mag, but the other one is fine. Spare parts, at least. I'm ordering two more now!

the magazine worked flawlessly first time. as stated before it is a pain to load all 40 rounds in the thing. it is a little stubborn racking the first round but nothing that cant be solved with a little effort. shipping actually came faster than thought good job CTD and ProMag for making a quality 40 rounder.

iI got an SKS with a synthetic stock and the metal mags were not workin' well. These need the points filled down even with the lip and then the bottom of the point filed at an angle then they work ALOT better.

We manual cycled 40 rounds through the mag with numerous FTF. After filing the feed lips to about the same size as one of my steel mags the rounds cycled very smoothly. We'll have to get it to the range for the rest of the story.

Bought this magazine for an SKS I just bought that had no magazine. Thought I'd take a chance on this one. It turned out to be a good choice. First time in the rifle it worked flawlessly. It can be a real pain getting 40 rounds in it because it takes some time, but the from the first to last round it feeds well.
