Hornady Superformance ammunition in ubiquitous .30-06 Springfield with the superb SST Bullet is an excellent deer hunting round with its 165 Grain bullet at 2960 fps.

This ammo is great on modern guns, a little harsh on old worn out rifles. None the less it shot tight groups at 100 yards and even 200 yards, it even shot very clean, and extremely flat. I would recommend this ammo for any hunter with a more modern firearm (it will still shoot just fine from an older gun, but it's a high pressure round) I would even use superformance as completion ammo in my 308 it’s that impressive.
