The APEX Duty/Carry Action Enhancement Kit (DCAEK) was designed to provide the Smith & Wesson M&P (9 mm, .357 Sig & .40 only) pistol owner a smooth, consistent 5 - 5.5 lb trigger pull with the advantages of shorter over-travel and reduced reset.

The kit includes:
APEX Hard Sear (9 mm, .357 Sig & .40 series) - NOT FOR .45 ACP
APEX M&P Ultimate Striker Block Kit (USB kit)
APEX M&P Increased Rate Sear Spring** & Trigger Return Spring (aluminum slave pin included)

**Two sear springs of different sizes are included with kit. Use the one that fits your M&P.

All of the components work together to provide a pull weight within the acceptable range for a top end service pistol. The kit itself is engineered to be drop-in and should require NO further gunsmithing (however, armorer or gunsmith installation is recommended).

This kit is a must have for any serious M&P shooter. It is fairly easy to install if you follow the manufacturer's videos. The trigger pull improved dramatically in my pistol, which was very rough and gritty out of the box. Now it is smooth, short, and crisp. I also installed the RAM kit while I had the gun apart. Be aware: the rear sight must be removed to install this kit. I ordered the MGW tool, since I wanted to install some night sights also, and it made the job a breeze.
