Bought this not so much for the heat shield but for the sights. I was disapointed in the way it attaches and that the sights are plastic. I painted the sights for better visability which really helped. I guess time will tell how long before the sights fall off. I just can't imagine they can hold up to the kick of a 12 ga for too many rounds.

THIS SHIELD WORKS GREAT ON THE MOSSY 20 GA. SHORT BARREL. I HAD TO FILE THE SCREW TABS A LITTLE TO CLEAR THE MAG,THIS IS A ONE SIZE FITS ALL PRODUCT THAT YOU CUSTOMIZE TO YOUR RIFLE. IT DID NOT MOVE ON MY RIFLE EVEN AFTER 30 ROUNDS OF SLUGS. IT CLEARS THE TACTICAL FOREARM W/VERTICAL GRIP NO PROBLEM AND IT CHANGED THE LOOK OF AN ALLREADY SMOKING SHOTGUN. MY WIFE LOVES THE NEW LOOK OF HER HOME PROTECTOR, I WILL GET ONE FOR MY 12 GA. FOR THE GUYS WHO SAY IT MOVES DOWN THE BARREL TRY A THIN SWIPE OF HIGH TEMP AUTO SILICONE BETWEEN THE BARREL AND THE PRODUCT.
