Upon reading the instructions provided, I understood the "tips" would need to be filed a "little" for proper fit. Well, yes they do. However, I found the rear locking block base needed filing and the mounting surface also needed filing to get it flush with the receiver top. So, file gently on the tips and keep and eye on the rest of the unit for fit. If you file too much off the tips, thinking it's too long still, it will be too much and cause a loose fit, when in fact other places need filing for proper alignment of the rear pin.

I bought this cover to replace the one that came on my Norinco SKS. I had to do some work on it by filing it down on the front to make it fit. Also, the only way that it will lock in correctly, with the lock pin facing forward, is to remove my stock completely because the side rail will not let the lever rotate forward. With some work, it fit and sets great.
