| I've been looking for a cheap helmet for a while now, and decided to get this one. Shipping was fast, helmet is in great shape, and it's a pretty neat little piece of gear.
However, for anybody looking to get a helmet that offers any kind of protection from bullets/shrapnel/zombies, I would not recommend this item. I would be surprised if it was thick enough to stop even a .380 ACP round from any kind of range, and even if it did, it's not padded inside, so it wouldn't do you much good.
Maybe if I am able to, I'll shoot at it a little bit and see how it holds up.
Also, even though it's adjustable, the plastic band inside is quite small, and is even a little bit tight for me. So if you have a slightly larger-than-average sized head, it might be something to consider. |

| Fast and secure shipping. Item in excellent shape. Adjustable leather liner (adjusted with strings - somewhat cumbersome but doable). Old style leather chin strap with buckle. Neat item that is priced well (got them to give to the kids to "play army"). |
