| This DVD is not worth the money spent. Filmed in someone's backyard with some very poor technique. The so-called expert looks very clumsy in all of his moves. |
Overpriced and Disappointing, 07/16/2007 |

| Forget about the title: there's practically no instruction here at all. Okay, it's not a skill you can pick up from a DVD. But about 80% of this disk is just two guys cutting up straw tatami mats in somebody's back yard. And constantly getting the names of their various moves wrong and correcting themselves. Production values are nil -- it's just one guy with a handheld video camera, who sometimes asks the two supposed experts some questions. And they didn't even do a retake when the "black belt" blows a move and fails to cut through the rolled mats. There's an interview lasting a few minutes with a sword maker, but no footage of swords being made, and no graphics about the various swords and their uses. Also, this disk refused to play in two of my three DVD players: evidently something wrong with the coding, since I've never encountered this problem with other disks before. |
