hog slayer or w.e dude there mosly used for show thats why u messed it up.. i learned that with my dads he payd like 120 dollars for it and the peice that hold$ the blade from moving like slides outa the way and lets the blade move down

the way this blade is manufactured makes for a awsome shuriken to be thrown you can't ask for a better shuriken
Dissapointing

I bought one of these and took it out back with my wood backing i use for my throwing knives. It is an amazingly sharp blade! With little effort i got it to dig in a full inch deep. However, the design allowing it to fold was ultimately its undoing. The piece of metal that keeps the blades from sliding back to the closed position get soft fast and won't hold the blade open when your throwing it. Then the tiny screw that keeps the blade from opening to far snapped off after the tenth throw.
It looks really cool and i like the idea, but this design is not functional.
good throwing star

This is a great throwing star! the reason i put 4 bullets instead of 5 in because a screw came loose the 3rd time i threw it! for all u future buyers, tighten ur screws on the back BEFORE throwing!
Big and Brutal

This is probably the most brutal "throwing star" ever constructed. I actually gave myself a minor cut, because I underestimated how sharp a weapon of this nature could be. It is quite strong and is about the size of my hand stretched out.

This shuriken looks nice... its VERY sharp! be careful i havent thrown it all that much because im not sure how to hold it and be save throwing it! its that sharp! if u dont use it, it isa Nice collectors piece and ctd has it at least $1.50 cheaper than another online site i saw with the same shuriken. (before membership) Ill prolly try throwing it some more soon, but ive gota let my arm rest up... been throwing knives and shuriken allot lately :) overall happy with it. may buy again depending on its future performance.

a VERY WELL MADE PRODUCT. i HAVE TWO, ONE IN MY TOOL BOX AND THE OTHER i KEEP ON MY PERSON. IF THROWN iN THE RIGHT MANNER - HITS THE TARGET EVERYTIME! i WOULD IN MY OPINION BUY AT LEAST ONE AND GIVE IT A WHIRL.

Just got it in the mail and it is way cooler than it show in the catalog or online. For the price you will be hard pressed to find something of this quality with the features. Even if you dont use it, it is definitly a conversation starter and makes for an even better display piece.

This is an excellent weapon, I've had lots of fun hitting targets with it. Like the other review, it does run deep, and if you hit a tree, it'll even take some effort to get it out. As far as I can tell, the edge stays sharp a lot longer than some knives I have. Definitely worth the price!

Very cool, folds up into a case and locks open like a folding pocket knife. My son and me throw this thing around our campsite for over an hour before we sailed it off into the woods and lost it. Sticks every time and buries so deep we need gloves to pull it back out with. You could really hunt rabbits or something with this if you could hit them.
