| My son and I practice sword fighting and these are cool because the split bamboo allows you to really swing but not hurt the other guy, kind of bends on impact so you don't bruise them. Leather handle was nice but I am a sure the real sword would feel different to swing. You can play for hours and not get hurt but I would wear gloves as only our hands would get wacked. Kind of scary because you see in a real sword fight you be dead in just seconds on the first mistake. Great quality and I saw them in a store for $40, so these were a bargain.
