 Sort of tactical, 05/11/2008
Reviewer: Bob
I have five of these, two sort of gifts and i took one apart. After a crash about in my work shop I can now turn on the lazer and light together.I used a clamp mount and fixed it to my shotgun. I then did the same to another one and after a bit of metal work fixed it to my ar15. I fiddled with the lazer and managed to line it up with a lazer bore sighter to about 50 yards. They are going well at the moment, but I wouldn't use them in a tactical situation, just for fun. I keeping the last as is, in my truck.
 Tail Cap, 05/02/2008
Reviewer: AC
I bought one of these, took it apart and studied the insides. I bought it at a local wholesale store. When I went back to get another one. They didn't have this one, but did have some that were similar, the functions were different thou. 4LED white/ 4LED RED/ Red Laser... or trade the red for UV or Green... I like just the 8 white and laser. I bought the 4 white/4red/ laser, and its still pretty good. I found another one of their regular flash lights that had a tail cap. Screwed it on, now I can turn on the same function every time without having to go through all functions.

Cool little light. I bought one and went and ordered a second. Now I am thinking I should start my xmas shopping and order a few for stocking stuffers. You can't go wrong for the price.
 Pretty Good, 04/18/2008
Reviewer: AR Shooter
Very bright, laser is good also. Not bad for the money. I would buy again. Not sure how durable but pretty nice to start with.
cheap and long battery life, 04/16/2008
Reviewer: matte
These are not "tactical" lights. These are cheap led flashlights. They are tough (except lenses) and last a long time on 3 AAA's. When you turn off the light, the laser comes on, which is only useful for playing with cats and annoying movie theatre employees.
 Very good price, 04/12/2008
Reviewer: -c
Very nice light. Very solid, definitely seems tactical without the price! Only 4 stars because "sheath" it comes with is very weakly reinforced, looks like belt loop will tear with first use, so am using an extra utility pouch I've acquired. Light itself is very nice though. Only drawback, as stated, is you can only use laser OR light, not both. Also, must push button once for light, then twice for laser, then three times to turn off. Not advisable in a tactical situation where the light will give away position, but very bright light and nice straight laser.

I took a chance on this item and did I ever win. My father who is a WWII Vet likes his shotgun by his bed and when I added the light he fell in love. For the money and I bought four they are worth every penny. Thanks again CTD...
 bang for your buck!, 03/29/2008
Reviewer: tyler f.
I bought 5 of these, and when they shipped to my work three people each instantly bought one of them off of me. I have one in the car, and one in my house. It's not the best flashlight or laser (of course) on the market, but i havent found any light under 40-50 dollars that is brighter. The laser is great for making your pets go NUTS. Bottom line: It's an 8 dollar flashlight, how much more could you expect?!
 Tactically Sweet, 03/27/2008
Reviewer: 7.62x54Rfan
This flashlight is great. I was a little curious about it since it was the price of the battery for my other tactical light but this one is better than that one. It will last longer and the AAA batteries are cheap and easy to get a hold of so if you buy be careful you might use it instead of your other flashlights.
 NICE and BRIGHT, 03/26/2008
Reviewer: cowking7
This shiny little flashlight is shure to inpress even your most dim freinds, (lol), anyway this flashlight is deffinitaly worth the money, the LED's are very bright and will be helpfull on dark stormy nights, especially becouse it is so small and compact. The laser seems stong and accurate, this is a pretty neat feature, but not really needed. The flashlight seems strong and durrable, and comforatable in my hands, unlike most plastic ones where i feel they may break if i sqeeeze them to hard, and it comes with a neat little case to strap on to your belt. This flashlight also comes with 3 baterries if anyone was interested, and has a neat little tray that slides out that they all clip into. All around Neat little flashligh thats worth the money. sorry reveiw was so long :)

Very bright LED for the money. I expected it to be cheaply made, but this thing is pretty solid. I can see the laser on the trees on the back side of my 5 acres.
 Light/Laser, 03/23/2008
Reviewer: Michel
I read many reviews before buying this product. I must admit, in many cases it has surpassed my expections. Though you can't utilize the laser and the light simultaneously, it is a very solid and useful tool. I was very impressed w/the brillance of the bulb. The laser is very strong and shines for quite a distance.

 Good Light, 03/18/2008
Reviewer: Lou
Good light for the money. Bright LED's will last longer than standard bulbs. The light seems to be pretty sturdy. I already dropped it on concreate and accidently kicked it across the floor and it still works. Not built to be attached to a weapon, but worth $8 and day.
 mako foregrip no worky, 03/16/2008
Reviewer: witty alias
I got this along with the mako vertical foregrip flashlight holder, hoping for a sort of poor man's 870 surefire grip. I knew it was a dumb pipe dream and it turned out to be too wide to fit at all. Nevermind that it needed a tail switch for that anyway. But hey man, i got a pretty bright flashlight and a cat toy with mega battery life for not a lot of damage. If you don't have one led light for your house and one for your car, now's the time to make it right.

 Amazing light, 03/11/2008
Reviewer: Nathan
For the price, this light is amazing! The LED is very bright, and the laser is a very strong laser. Feels very well made. Im mounting this one on my shotgun. The only negative is that you can have it on the led light, or the laser, and not both. Wish you were able to have the flashlight on and the laser shining at the same time. Best value for the price though of anything Ive bought on here.

Reviewer: marky
This truly is a great buy. I mounted it on my shot gun, and it works perfectly. The light is way brighter than I thought it would be. I was shocked the first time i turned it on. CTD is the best. You will not be let down with this product.
Good light, but not for HD, 03/07/2008
Reviewer: Satisfied Customer
I bought two of these lights and they both are VERY bright on both the laser and LED settings. As an all-around light they work very well, however, don't try to use the laser as a gun mounted optic as it is not even close to center. If you roll the light on a table while on the laser setting, it will draw a pretty circle on the wall. If you need it only for the LED/flashlight function, then this is a great buy. You will need to make sure you buy rings large enough to accommodate the light's diameter. I recommend the ATI barrel-type clamp as most scope rings may not provide enough play for the larger diameter. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and may buy more for gifts.

DO NOT let the price fool you!! DO NOT look directly at the lite when you first turn it on!!! GREAT lite for the money & best of all it fits perfectly in a regualar 1" scope ring for mounting on a weapon!!

Reviewer: harbringer of sorrow
for the 8 bux, this light kicks butt! i bought 2, both work perfect, more of a gunmetal grey color, aluminum, i rubber banded one onder my double barrel shotgun that is next to my bed, the light is very bright, and in lighter situations the lazer aims perfect for closed quarter fast shots. so glad i bought em.
Best light under ten bucks, 01/17/2008
Reviewer: TJ
These lightis small and compact, but puts out more light than my 3d Maglight. Not to mention the red dot pointer. I mounted it on the barrel of my SKS with a tact switch. A little bulky, but every nice for night time activities. the lazer is set about 4" to the right at 75 yards. Best light for under ten bucks

And don't let that crumby picture fool you. This light is about 5 or 6 inches long and feels surprisingly heavy-duty.
 BUY THIS!!!!!, 01/08/2008
Reviewer: Avinger
Take a chance and buy 5 of these like I did. Assuming they all work as well as the first one. They are amazing. Comes with wrist strap, pouch and batteries. Get a clamp for your barrel and have 2 amazing lights in one, you can throw one in your car, or you can just sit around your house and take turns shining the laser and flashlight in your eyes until you hallucinate and get sick.
 What A Flashlight!, 01/04/2008
Reviewer: John Christopher
I bought one of these flashlights with my last order. It is very bright but what surprised me was how powerful the laser is on this flashlight. I shined the laser across the street from my police department on a car by the local drinking hole. This was at least a 100 yards and the laser reflection was very strong. This is a very good buy. Its just a shame that the maker of this couldn't have made a 3 stage flashlight where you got the laser and led's working at the same time. Buy one before CTD runs out of them.
 The Coolest Thing Ever, 12/22/2007
Reviewer: Jesse Da Hammer
This thing is the best of both worlds, first you got a very very bright light that will light up the whole room then you got a laser that can go from what is can see is a mile away easy. I bought nine of these and gave them to most of my friends and family they all love them. If you are even thinking about buying this don't just buy one you'll want lots more. TRUST ME !!!!!

Reviewer: Moof
Great light for the money. I have not seen a LED light with a laser before. Sure it's made in China, but what isn't. I ordered two and they worked fine. In my state you can't buy a SIX PACK for $5.00 so take a chance it's worth it. I'm ordering 6 more.

Very happy with this product. The light is brighter than I expected. If you haven't got the $ for a name brand tactical light grab one of these.

 DAMN GOOD, 07/28/2007
Reviewer: Sheriffs Officer Explorer
Damn good light. Better then my $40 S&W, and even my friend's $80 HALO. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, and buy two or three at a time, and put them everywhere. AT this price, they wont be here for long, and they are probably one of the best lights on an deputy, detective, or in my case, an explorer, at the Sheriffs Office. Much better using a lit match to see in the dark < I joke. But yes, this is an amazing flashlight.
 happy so far, 07/08/2007
Reviewer: Yah
I love this flashlight its super bright for its size. The only complaint is that the red dot and the flashlight work on the same switch and you can't use both lights at the same time. You have to hit the button twice before its off. I bought it to keep in my night stand with my gun at night but I plan on buying on buying more for both of my cars and my toolbox.
Good value for the money, 06/23/2007
Reviewer: TonyD31B
I have purchased 14 of these so far. I have given most of them away as gifts. So far, they're all working fine - haven't seen a defective one yet. They're an excellent value at the price, and you get a nice bright light and a nice laser pointer. I agree with the previous reviewer who did not like having to turn on the light with the first click, and laser pointer with the second. That can be inconvenient, particularly when you're using it as a presentation pointer. For other things (like pointing out where you want that pipe or conduit run, pointing to that item on the other side of the cockpit, or that leak waaay back by the firewall that needs attention) they're just fine. I will probably wind up buying more of them.

great idea , just doesn't work. the light came on once ,the laser came once ,and that was it . dead.
 Not good at all, 06/08/2007
Reviewer: Bob6800
Got mine today and the switch broke after 3 (Three) uses. While it was working it seemed like a great bargain. I didn't like the way the laser turned on though, you have to turn the LED's on first with one push of the switch, then while pushing the switch again to turn off the light, the laser turns on. Would be much better with two separate switches. At the price though, you roll the dice and you takes your chances. This item was part of my 6th order from CTD and is the only defective item I've gotten from them.
