| I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this case, because earlier this year I got a slightly smaller case at walmart for about the same price. I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I received my order. The case IS indeed aluminum (unlike many others that spray-paint a plastic exterior silver). It is built very well with a solid aluminum frame and sturdy locks. The inside has plenty of "egg foam" padding & will protect any gun. There are some serious corner protectors on it as well that look like they are meant to protect it from a truck running over it. The handle is plastic but looks very durable. It is somewhat heavy because it is built very well, but I'd rather lug around a few extra pounds knowing that over $2,000 worth of handguns are safe & protected during transport. Knowing that the airlines beat the crap out of luggage, I would put this on a plane any day and bet that it comes off looking like new. I would recommend this case to anyone wanting a little extra storage space for their pistols. I have 6 pistols (Beretta 92FS, 2 Kimber 1911's, Glock 22, Sig 229, and a Springfield XD) inside with room to spare. Hope this helps! |
