| It was great for the price. |
Great for gifts, 04/09/2008 |

| I bought two cases and actually gave them away as gifts. Buying two now to get them back for me. They are solid and stylish; fit semi-auto but not revolvers and look more expensive than they are. You won't be disappointed. |

| a big mistake buying this! tried 7 different handguns- the only handgun that fit was a ruger mark 3--- no revolvers or or 3 other semiauto handguns would fit.. interior dimensions were too small and not uniform.
gave it to a gal for a locking jewelry box |
Oh, by the way, revolvers, 01/11/2008 |

| will not fit in this case. No way. CTD definitely needs to change the description for that. I bought it for my .45 Auto, and if you look at the illustration you can see that it fits one pretty close. Hold up any revolver to any auto and you can see that the profiles will not interchange, and the interior configuration seems to be glued down pretty well and cannot easily be altered. |
Pretty good, BUT..., 01/11/2008 |

| This case is pretty good for the money. Sturdy and no rough edges. The interior is not craftsman quality, but seems to be sturdy. The "velvet" is a bit thin, and the padding is only in the lid and across the top inside edge (where your sights end up resting) BUT... this padding does not go all the way across and the BoMar rear sight on my .45 Auto has only a very thin piece of "velvet" between it and the aluminum skin. Not good. Also, there is a 3-1/2" space between the end of the barrel and the case - I could have figured that out with the dimensions provided. The .45 did fit well, although if you have a beavertail safety extension it may not fit yours. The biggest issue I have is with the right-hand hinge latch - when closed, it actually contacts the gun! Not good! If it were on the left side, it wouldn't matter since there is so much room over there, but alas, it is riveted on and will be difficult to switch over. Before sending it back, I tried my Ruger .22 Auto Mark 1 with 6-7/8" bull barrel and it actually fits a lot better. The sight is well into the padding, and the barrel nearly fills the gap. The Ruger clips fit right into one of the cavities. Lots of extra room and odd-shaped cavities, but I think I will keep it for the Ruger. If I can just figure out a fix for that pesky hinge latch........ |
