Candle Style Ceramic Filter

Ceramic drip filter works just as well as the high end filters, only at a fraction of the cost! Made with attention to clean water and purity, these 10" long filters also fit the Berkey and Royal Filtration System.

This filter removes 99.00% of water-borne bacteria and suspended solids with a 0.5 micron efficiency which exceeds NSF standards. The ceramic filter can be cleaned with a soft brush at least 100 times, and it produces 14 gallons of drinking water per day.

Simply double stack two clean buckets with lids, drill a 1/2" hole in the bottom of the top bucket and through the top of the bottom buckets lid, and install filter in the bottom of the top bucket. Fill the top bucket with water from a lake, rain, tap, river or stream and in an hour you will have bacteria free water to drink in the bottom bucket. See our item # CAMP-309 for a food grade, standard 5 gallon bucket.

Capable of a flow rate of 5 liters per minute at 43.5 PSI. 99.99% filtration efficiency at 0.5 microns, and a 99.99% effective reduction of suspended solids. Eliminates most bacterium and microbes with 99% efficiency but will not filter out viruses. Non-returnable, buckets and spigot not included.

Replaces Doulton, Berkefeld and other candle style ceramic water filters.

Just spent 20 minutes making one of these per the video instructions >>> http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/CAMP352-1.html using 3 of these filters as substitute for the one filter used in the video. And am using water from my very hard and calcium rich well (which stinks to high heaven of sulphur) for my test run. After 1 hr. I have 2+ gallons of water that not only tastes like bottled water, but also has no offensive odor ... Love It !!!

Bought a pair of these for an emergency water supply project. They were exactly what I was looking for and the price is right. Planning to use them in a 3 stage type (home-brew) system. This will allow my family to use the stream that is 150 yrds from my house as a viable emergency water source. I should have the whole rig finished in about 2 weeks, then I will probably try to use nothing but stream water for a week to test it and then update this review.
