The Katadyn Base Camp was designed to use for groups or families while camping, backpacking, and trekking. From huts to camp grounds, the Katadyn Base Camp will ensure you have safe drinking water.

The Base Camp is an excellent all-around water filter, perfect for multi-person or family adventures. Simply fill with water, hang it up by the belt loop and let gravity do the work. You can easily have safe, potable drinking water with no effort. Katadyn's AntiClog technology removes bacteria, giardia and cryptosporidium to EPA standards, while the carbon core reduces unpleasant tastes and odors. Holds 2.5 gallons and the filter lasts for 200 gallons. Complete with three-foot output hose, buckle system for hanging and on/off valve.

I use this when backcountry hunting and it works great. Nothing to break, no pumps to clog, nothing to pump. Just sit back and read a book or watch a video on your phone or take a nap. Gravity takes care of your water filtering needs. Great product. A must for every outdoorsman.

I'm happy with this! It weighs a lot less than the 4 extra liters of water I used to carry. Purification is as good as the pumps at 2/3 the carry weight and a lot less tedious to use. Combined with one of those UV steri(lizing)pens, it can't be beat. Keeps 3 campers happy on long weekend hikes on the Appalachian Trail.

Katadyn is the best. I have one of these for basecamp use and it is handy to use and high quality. This is a good purchase. Does 200 gallons, so get some extra filters if you have a large team and have an extended stay on the green side.
