Great Product, 06/27/2008 |
| Reviewer: Mike J. |
| I purchased this bipod on 6-25-08 & got a chance to use it today. Who would have thought you can actually purchase a great product at a low price? If you buy this bipod, that's what you get. Had it installed in less than a minute. Very sturdy construction. I installed it on my Remington model #710 30-06. My rifle has a 3-9X40 Bushnell scope, a synthetic stock & kicks like a mule. Hard to keep a good grouping on the target. After putting 40 rounds down the range, with bipod installed, all hit no further than 2 inches from the bullseye on a 5.5 inch round target. That was at 100 yards. For the heck of it I tried it on my Ruger P95DC (handgun). To my suprise, it fit on the accessory rail. I was able to fine tune my sights with it. Made my day at the range more pleasant. As I said, great product at a great price. You can buy a more expensive bipod with exposed springs that makes a noise when opened or closed. You could even buy one that does NOT have posi-lock legs at a higher price, BUT I would not recommend it! Happy Shooting. To all who live in Texas, get online & Google "open carry petition", then sign it. |

not to shabby, 06/25/2008 |

| I just received mine, as always came fast, it seems to be a pretty solid item. I did have a little problem attaching it to my swivel stub and had to do a little work to get it on. Once I got it on I was very happy with it, seems to be very solid and the legs move great. I would probably buy another. Do not be fooled by what looks like another swivel stud at the bottom of it, it might be a swivel stub but the hole is very small and non of my swivel slings fit in it. Over all, worth the money and probably worth a little more. |

| Bought this bipod for a DPMS M4 with a leapers forearm. Fits great, and is stable when prone. The legs lock up or down, and the leg extensions are spring-loaded. Great bargain for the price, but if you want real quality, go for a harris. |

| I own 2 of these and don't have problems with them at the range when I'm just practicing, but in some scenarios it would be better to have on a little larger. That and I don't like the room they take up when they are folded forward. I haven't bought it yet but I think I would prefer the Bipod/Foregrip for my AR-15. It's a vertical foregrip that unfolds into a bipod available right here at CTD.com. I think I'll buy that soon. |

| Usually you can't go by the look cause it looks better on the internet than on hand. Also for $23 i thought this would be a cheap bipod. I had nothing to lose so I bought it. Well its cheap in price but not cheaply made. It easily installs on my bushmaster's tri-mount adapter. This bipod is a great buy for the money! I own a Harris bipod also and i would say for 1/3 or 1/4 the price this bipod is just as good if not better. I love this bipod so much that i'm going to buy 2 more for my other rifles. I highly recommend this item especially if you're a bench shooter. It's very sturdy. This is one of those items that will cause you to ask yourself "Did they make a mistake on the price?". Get one asap before they raise the price! You will not be disappointed! |

| Works really well and is strong. Each leg requires you to slide a button to fold up and down. Kindof inconvienent at times, would probably rather have one that is spring loaded and you just pull down and push up. For $20 i can't complain too much.. just a few more extra seconds. can do both legs at once pretty smooth with a little practice. |

| I put this bipod on my WASR-10 with a modified fore grip. It took about two seconds. I tightened it using a quarter out of my pocket. The big slot makes for quick on and off applications. I put it on so the legs fold foward. This lets me use the fore grip with my hand if I don't want to use the bipod. Now if it holds up, the bang for the buck will be great! |

| This is a very sturdy and reliable bipod and for the price it can't be beat. For AR-15 type rifles I recommend this with the rails (ARR-054) and foregrip (ARR-073) both high quality and low price. |

| Got home from work and found my package I ordered yesterday came in today. CTD has done it again! 28 hours after ordering, the box was here. This bi-pod. I can't begin to say enough good things about it. Mounted in about 10 seconds and it's like a brick! Really! It's heavy, and doesn't feel like a cheap toy, but a very sophisticated piece of equipment. It feels like it's a solid steel construction. I've got a Caldwell Bi-Pod mounted to my .243 NEF and really, there's no comparison. The Caldwell is lighter, and smoother to operate, but the UTG is sturdier, and doesn't have the "wiggle factor." I'm primarily putting it on a custom built Ruger 10/22 with Christie's Stock, Vertical Fore grip, Bull Barrel, 4-12x40 Simmons, High Capacity Magazine, Mamba Universal M4 Sling, and a Tactical Flashlight. Great for nighttime varmint hunting, but with the match grade Wolf ammo I use, I can just as easily use it for fine tuned target shooting. I figured, 20 bucks for a bi-pod? I might as well. I've got almost 20 UTG Products, and again, am EXTREMELY impressed. The legs must be unlocked to flip up and unlocked again to fold down, which is a good feature, but consumes valuable time in a fast paced hunt, or a tactical situation. If you're going to stay on a target more than a minute or two, this bi-pod is the one for the job, it's so incredibly stable, and maintains the weight of my 10/22 (well over 14lbs fully decked out) with ease. Most bi-pods can flip up if positioned "backwards" with the result of a good blast of a recoil. I don't know the affects of higher caliber rounds, but in a prone position I attempted to "slam" this bi-pod with the equivalent of a .243 rifle recoil, and it held firm. Those who spoke of it folding backwards were either using .50 calibers, had a defected product, or just jerked the trigger resulting in the weapon coming backwards, forcefully, and improperly against the bi-pod itself. This product is extremely rock solid, it doesn't allow for massive amounts of "panning out." (Side to side and up and down movement.) I think it would make for more of a match grade bi-pod, than a field one because you don't have much pan. If you're looking for an extremely sturdy Bi-Pod, I'd recommend one for each of your weapons you're looking to put a bi-pod on. |

| I was a little worried when I ordered this. The price just seemed too cheap. I received the bipod and all I can say is, Outstanding. The unit is all quality. I am impressed. It fits and looks great on my DPMS. For the money it is well worth it. I am ordering more for my other rifles so I don't have to keep swapping them around. |
Best Bipod, 04/15/2008 |
| Reviewer: Remington 700 |
| I have been trying to find a bipod that has a quick detachment and that is very stable. This one is it! I just returned a $60 bipod to Cabela's that was floppy and not as well made. I thought I would have good luck with this one as I also have the bipod-103 model. The 103 bipod is not as quick and stable, but a great bipod. The rubber pad also came off the 103 bipod at 20 degrees. This bipod fits great and the base is hardly noticeable. |

| This is a good deal. Seems pretty stong. Only thing I don't like about is when it's in it's shortest postion 9" both legs are not the same length. I have to adjust one out a little to get it back level. Still I would buy it again if I had to. |

| Nice, compact, very durable and steady bipod.
Only problem I can find with it is turning locks. When in the shooting position, if you don't really crank down on the screws holding the legs tight (i shoot at 9", not the 11"), one will pop up, throwing off the next shots. Also, the screw that goes over the sling swivel loosens up occasionally, and needs to really be cranked down (talking pliers) to keep it steady.
Other than that, nice steady mount, pan is a nice feature, mounted with legs facing back, not towards the front and have no other problems. |

NICE BIPOD, 02/06/2008 |
| Reviewer: APD152 |
| This is a nice bipod. Don't understand the couple of bad reviews, unless they are Harris stock holders. This bipod works well on a D.P.M.S. chambered 5.56. The bipod also works well on a Weatherby 300 magnum, with the included swivel stud adaptor. The nice thin about this item is that you can put the swivel stud adaptor on your hunting rifle and then switch the bipod from gun to gun in seconds. For the price, it can't be beat. No problems to report. C.T.D., your LEO rep. is, as always, very profesional and pleasent to do business with. |

Large bang for the buck, 02/02/2008 |
| Reviewer: Ron |
| Just got one of these, and I am impressed with it for the price. I liked this design because of the clean lines. Both the up and down lock is positive. You slide the little knob on the upper part of the leg toward the rubber foot and this releases the leg to swing. At the up or down position, the latch slips into a groove in the base(the uplock notch is visible in the picture) and locks the leg in place. The one delivered to me was like the one in the upper portion of the picture. I am setting a heavy barrel savage on this pod and so far it is rock solid.
This bipod has a bunch of mounting options. The base that adapts to a sling stud works well although I have not attempted to attach a sling loop to it as a previous poster mentioned issues in this area. I have a side attached sling on my stock so don't plan on using this anyway. This base could easilly be hard bolted to a stock for a more permanent installation if desired.
The picatiny rail looks and feels robust and it swivels easilly and has an "O" ring in between the swiveling parts to add a little friction.
The Picatiny clamp is also easilly disassembled from the top leg frame with 2 allen wrenches, leaving a nearly flat top and a hole in the center. This abbreviated assembly(just the legs and the block that connect them) could be easilly bolted to a stock for an even lower profile but non swiveling installation.
The lower legs look like they could be about an inch longer giving a 9-12" adjustment range, but reducing it's durability/weight capacity. They also pop out with a spring when the lock collar is loosened. If you don't want pop-out legs(quieter), the springs can be removed, further lightening its weight and making it quieter.
So far I like mine, very big bang for the buck! |

| I was alittle skeptical buying a Bipod for $20 but after reading some of the reviews I figured why not. My order was delivered accuratley and fast! The Bipod far exceded my expectations on quality and ease of use. I honestly can't believe it's only $20 bucks. Has the same look and quality of $100 Bipods. My buddy has a harris and after seeing my UTG wished he had one. Buy one... |

| I purchased this bipod for my Bushy M4A4, and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier. This is a great buy, attaches securely to my quad rail handguard, and as a bonus, I used the included sling swivel adapter to mount it on my SKS, so I got two for the price of one. On a technical note, I mounted it so that the legs folded forward when not in use so as to eliminate any undesired folding of the legs during usage. |

| I had been shopping around for a while for a bi-pod for my DPMS AR-15 with a very heavy 20" stainless bull barrell. I also have a 16x scope and light and laser. This adds a lot of weight to the rifle and this bi-pod had performed flawlessly with it. I looked at all the $70-100 models and they were not built much better. Perhaps some of the more expensive models may have had a couple very small advantages as far as ergonomics were concerned but not close enough to justify the price diffeence. You can't beat this bi-pod for the money. |

It is tough, rigid and not being spring loaded doesn't knock my scope out of zero. 4 bullets instead of 5 because I had to drill at the sling swivel stud in order to make it work for my sling adapter (uncle mikes) but overall very nice bipod. |

| Don't fool your self, you are not getting a high quality product. The cratsmanship is fair, seems sturdy, is not quick deploy as was stated below; generaly at fist glance not that impressive. But when you slap that thang on in no time flat and it stands there and takes the ponding your rifle gives it with out complaining..you begin to realize this is one of those times you scored, you just got a product that was WELL worth the money. 4 bullets for the ruged product and the outstanding value, even if it is a bit on the unatractive side. |

Very nice budget bipod, 02/05/2007 |
| Reviewer: mikesguns.blogspot.com |
| Although this product doesn't have as many nice features as the big-name bipods, for the price you just can't beat it. Not only do you get a small, sturdy bipod that will attach to a picatinny rail, you also get an adapter that allows you to turn your sling stud into a picatinny rail on the bottom of your normal firearm, althought I wouldn't recommend this rail for anything that shoudln't move (any kind of sighting device), it does do very well with the bipod. The finish is kinda cheesy and scratches easily, but for the price, I don't really care. Even my high priced name brand bipod gets a bit scratched too, so it doesn't bother me at all. It even looks nice attached to the bottom of my quad-rail AR-15 gas block (CTD item# ARR-141). I am very pleased with this product!! |

| Great bipod for the money can't beat it. Has adapter to mount to swivel stud on a rifle stock or straight to a piccatiny rail. I personally use it for paintball but they are excellent for any gun as well. As it says it can swivel about 10 degrees. The spring loaded part they are talking about is the extension of the legs by the way not the opening of the bipod legs in case some of you think other wise. very easy to open just slide the knob on each leg down and fold the leg out. Ill say it again excellent for 23 bucks. If your into paintball this is the exact same bipod they are using on the brand new(as of december 2006) Tiberius T9 Rifle on the models that come with a bipod. |

| I purchased this bipod for my AR-15. I also purchased the ARR-031 front sight tri-rail mount so that I could mount this bipod to the tri-rail mount. Together, the two were about $45, (not bad at all) and I now have a tri-rail mount where I can mount my laser and possibly a tactical flashlight. It mounted in seconds to the rail, and it is very solid and good quality. I highly recommend this bipod. |
