| Let's start off with the pro's. The size of the bag is great, and the Molle straps make it even larger. Right now I am using it as a BOB, and am quite pleased with everything I can stow in it.
6 AR-15 Mags in Molle Pouch, 4 Glock Mags (1 in pistol, 3 in Molle pouch), Leatherman, Pocket Knife, Sharpening stone, Firearm Multi-tool, Titanium Spork, AA Mag-Lite, Crank Light, 3 Mre's, 2 Nalgene Bottles, Hand Sanitizer, Laundry Soap, Liquid Soap, Sun Screen, Insect Repellent, 50 Ft. Paracord, Shooting Gloves, Becker KaBar Strapped to outside, 1 Glock 17, Lighters, Fire Starter, Pocket Stove, Tinder, Katadyn Hiker Pro, Water Treatment Tablets, Eton Microlink, First Aid Kit, Gerber Gorge Shovel, & a Sabercut Saw.
Needless to say, it's quite a bit of equipment inside the bag.
Con's:
As soon as I opened the bag I was far from impressed with the stitching. In fact I am going to be bringing this bag to the local seamstress to have the stitching reinforced. There is one spot that the stitching had already started coming out before I ever put the first item inside. It really makes me wonder if the bag will be able to handle the weight if I ever do need to get out quick.
The other complaint is about the pistol mag pouches inside of the secondary compartments. These things are too small to fit glock mag's. It seems to me that if you are going to name your bag "SWAT Responder" then you should go on ahead and make the mag pouches large enough to hold the mags for the worlds most popular pistol with law enforcement.
Overall for someone on a budget or someone who doesn't mind needing to do some work to make this bag worthy I would suggest it. Once I have the stitching redone in it I will have confidence in it again, but until that point it will just sit neatly in my Jeep. |
