I bought one of these a while back and had no problems with it at all. Great finish inside and out. I have put well over a thousand rounds through my M4 w/ a Dez Arms match grade fluted M4 barrel, and S&W MP-15 lower (finishes match well together) with no problems or wear. I am impressed. I will probably try the Yankee Hill for my next build since I am a fan of there products as well.

I see everybody talking about the inside having flaking or something, my upper I got looked great! I'm telling you I can't thank the guy enough who turned me on CTD! I have had no complaints what so ever, and I have been doing a lot of shopping from them since I found them, great products at a great price! Keep it up CTD!

This upper is really nice in finish and the teflon inside is great. The MAIN PROBLEM WITH THE RECEIVER IS THAT THE M4 FEED CUTS DO NOT MATCH THE COLT M4 BARREL!!! They are over cut! The bullet tips would feed and lock up on the bottom lip of the feed ramp to the barrel and cause the round to push in the round into the case causing dangerous over pressures if the round where to fire!!! This is a no-go and decided to just sell it off once I found out that the other brand of receiver at CTD also has the M4 feed cuts. I did not bother to have an exchange nor a refund due to the damage that the rounds tips did to the receiver and was afraid to ask for a refund due to it not being "in resalable condition". Oh well,you win some, and lose some. I will try another brand of forged receiver that does not have the M4 feed cuts for my project in limbo.

BE CAREFUL and make sure to check the inside finish! Mine came with bare aluminum showing at the top of the magazine well. It also has a white milky finish in the charging handle guide. The dust cover spring was assembled backwards. You should make sure to check for these flaws right away before the 30 day return policy expires. I did not till months later, after reading the reviews on this product. I was told nothing could be done by customer service. However, the exterior is flawless. T Marks are distinct and finish is scratch free. CTD is to their word on shipping with in 3 hours after placing orders. I get most orders with in 24 hours.

I received the upper receiver and am very pleased with the fit and finish. The quality is very good, will use it to upgrade my A2 to A3 spec for target shooting.

This is a follow up to the review I posted on 7/30 CTD sent me a replacement upper and even refunded me some money beacuse this product came down in price. Thanks CTD! However, the replacement upper still had the same problem the first one had. I'll admit it that the replacement was in better condition than the first, but the replacement clearly was missing anodizing on the interior surface. There were several sections of the interior where the bare metal was exposed. This shocks the heck out of me as I have two CMMG lowers and they are finish on both are beautiful. CMMG states that these uppers have a Teflon finish but both uppers I received were clearly missing this feature. The finishes on both uppers were much more grayer and faded than that of both CMMG lowers. Called CTD and told the customer svc. rep about the problem. Got an RMA within 5 minutes and the upper is in the mail.

I built my latest M4 with one of these receivers and had no issues at all.

I bought this upper almost 2 months ago and never really bothered to thoroughly inspect it. I new that it did not match the finish on my CMMG lower but it fit tight and that was my only concern. Last night I went to assemble it and found that the interior of the receiver looked awful. It literally looks like someone spilled 1/2 a quart of acid in it. No joke. I called CTD today and explained to the lady my situation. Even though it has been more than 30 days, CTD is going to exchange it for me. Thanks CTD!

nice upper especially for the price, matches my S&W lower pretty well. seems to fit pretty good too.

I've been looking high and low for an upper receiver online. I've been to almost every site that carries these and this is easily the best price out there. I was weary because of the price but these are top of the line.

I was skeptical about buying this upper at first but went ahead and I love it. It does everything it should, fit perfectly, and matches the finish on my Armalite lower. Would definitely buy another one if needed.

Bought this unit because i was impressed with the finish and quality of their (CMMG) lower receiver with teflon coating that i own. Better finish than others such as bushmaster or even sundevil. However, when i received it, the finish is not as good as the lower. The teflon finish it claims is just not evident. It looks and feels like regular anodized finish. Besides this, it is an acceptable unit and fits my lower and white oak barrel.

When finding one of these is nearly impossible, CTD came through with a quality upper at a very fair price in today's 'firearms economy'!!

The paint in the rail slot numbers goes outside the lines. Really the only negative on this upper receiver. All the lines are sharp all the pin holes are in the right spot. Would buy another if I needed it.

I bought this upper for my AR.. I am happy with it, but I had to do some minor fitting to the charging handle and interiors of the upper.

I recieved the upper in the mail a day later than the shipping I requested, but I think they may have had to do with the weather. It's a good upper for the pice, it's not top notch but it will get the job done. Thank you CTD!
