If you move the sight up it gets loose and moves around. I have been using the front sight post to adjust elevation and keep this rear sight bottomed against its base; It has held zero using that method. If I just drop it on and tighten the thumb screw, a little bump will cause it to become loose on the rail. I have found I have to wiggle the sight around and continue tightening to make sure it's in just the right spot to get it to stay tight.

This sight appears to be well made, and durable which im sure it is. However about every two boxes (40 rounds) I found it loosed up. I applied blue loc tite to the threads and the next time I went to the range it worked for a couple hundred rounds before comming loose again. In addition to that problem with the adjustment all the way down I was still hitting about two feet up from a bench. Thinking it was me I had a couple of the old fellas at the range give it a go and the same thing. I guess ya get what ya pay for.

First off I know what I'm talking about, I build one of a kind components for space applications rockets and the shuttle. Don't waste your money, For sure the pin in the bottom will work it's way out eventually, the sight I bought lasted 3 rnds as well was crooked due to a casting flaw on the mounting surface on the bottom which also cause it to wobble, IT WASN't because the clamp was upside down. For the dude who thinks he is saving wieght this sight wieghs 3 times as much as a carry handle and besides the little amount of wieght your talking about is stupid thinking. The apature housing will move just from touching it and mine is also crooked to the sight body.If you think you have a good one just give it time it will not hold up in the long run, NO Way !. I just bought a set of mid west front and rear sights now this is a good high quality sight set. Remember a back up sight needs to work not fall apart and this sight will come apart just from using it, like I said mine took 3 rnds to fall apart and I promise you, IT will not last, It will break when you need it most. Anyone who thinks this is a good sight dosen't have a clue about building things from any alloy or metal.

Personally, I am an AIMPOINT COMP ML2 owner...who happens to buy this cheap rear sight as a co-witness, as an attempt. I had 700+ rounds through my comp2 and I don't think my AIMPOINT loosed its zero, which it doesn't and I'd be laughing my head off if it does. So my conclusion is: after 75 rounds this rear sight looses its zero. It performed well at first 30 rounds but given up after 50. For airsoft I supposed!

Outstanding product for the price. Zeroed in at 25 yards on the first attempt. No problem at all with shooting tight groups at 100 and 200 yards. Great rear sight for the price and it is just the same if not better, in my opinion, than the higher priced rear sights that are out there. Quick shipping and great price. Thanks CTD!!!!!

No problems.... I’ve read the reviews and this is what I gather. The wobbling is caused when the clamp on the side of the site is up side down. Simply remove the site if it wobbles and rotate the clamp 180 degrees and reattach. The same is true for the front site one side snug one side is not. It’s a very minute amount of difference but it worked on my Armalite. Don’t tighten the screws to tight, they could start to strip, again no problems on my end. The elevation is a little sticky at fist …. It WILL move……if you do it right. I got both the front and rear fixed sites the work really well.

O.K. I ordered this rear sight because I wasn't sure if I wanted irons or optics so I didn't want to spend alot. Turns out I might just keep my Armalite the way it is now. This thing works great and shoots a pretty tight group right out of the box with no adjustments whatsoever. A great value and great item.

I have an M4gery built on a Colt lower, Daniel Defense flat-top upper, and Colt barrel. I use a "clone of Aimpoint" red dot sight co-witnessed with iron sights. I had another brand of rear sight mounted on this gun, but it had to be positioned too far forward. And the gun just didn't look right with this set-up. So I took a chance and bought this "cheap" UTG sight. Very, very pleased. The sight locks onto the flat-top receiver and stays put. Color match is good, and lines flow into the receiver. I sighted it in late this afternoon at fifty yards. Once zeroed the 125 yd and 200 yd steel plates were no problem. Price may be low, but the value is high on this one.

LOVE IT! Great rear sight. U have adjustments for windage and elevation, and u can cut down on the weight by not having the carrying handle on there. Good solution.

I recently built up two AR15's for a couple of friends. They decided on M4 style kits, so a rear sight was a neccessity. After looking around at what was available they decided on this sight. I didn't expect much and thougt they would be disappointed. When they arrived I was pleasantly suprised. They were very well made, both durable and accurate. I had no problem hitting targets 100 yards out. If you want an affordable backup rear sight, these are hard to beat.

This is a decent rear sight, but for me, after 100 rounds, this rear sight loosens up and needs to be tighten. Also, at least on my rear sight, the iron site seems a little bent, which I am sure is affecting my accuracy.

You get what you pay for......except in this case. Inexpensive and the quality is high. The sight fit tight on my DPMS upper. Not a single problem after 200 rounds. Honestly, how often do you use the your $100 carry handle to carry your rifle? This is a nice, cheap alternative.

Great buy.

$25 for a sight(UTG) that cost 4x as much with someone else's name on it. This thing is "Perfect" I do not plan on having any optics on my AR so I did not choose the folding model. It will be the only sight I will use so I put a little Locktight on the threads, not that it needed it but just to be sure.

Quality appears to be excellent in appearance, funtcion and design. Have yet to try it at the range. All in all and excellent buy, would highly recomend to anyone looking for a solid and reliable rear iron sight.

I spent a lot of money building my custom Wilson Combat AR, after all that I didn't want to spend too much for a buis. I was low on funds. I read the reviews and decided to try the sight out. I am very pleased with it. It fits very well, doesn't look half bad and functions as good if not better than half the buis I have used. This sight is a very good deal. The only issue I have is I would like to have a flip down sight to provide more view to my AimPoint. Don't get me wrong I still have a great view threw the AP with this sight, but I feel a flip down would be a little better. Still I give it five bullets. Try finding any other sight of this quality and function for this price, impossible.

Don't even waste time with a more expensive sight. This fits very well on my dpms and lines up with my holosight, plus the variable reticle allows for full view forward on the wide peep. It is just very, very nice for the money and works very well!

Just received this product. Fits tight on my Olypic Arms AR and it will compliment the High Viz fiber optic front sight post I just put on. Just what I was looking for the replace the carry handle sight. Cut out a lot of the extra weight and mass. Thanks.

I purchased this sight for my latest build. I spent all my money on the rifle and needed a "temporary" sight until some came in. Well, I have to tell you this sight is awesome and right on the money. The accuracy is incredible for a sight this inexpensive. I was dead on at 75 yards as soon as I installed it. Well worth the money and as usual, CTD has the fastest shipping in the buisness, HANDS DOWN!

Boutht this for my flat top DPMS to use when I remove my scope. It is easy to zero with positive clicking windage and elevation adjustments, but does not fit securly no matter how much tension is applied. I had to use some duct tape under the sight to make it stop from wiggling. It works and is a good back-up sight, but I would go for a carry handle sight if I had to do it over.

I was a bit skeptical at first... After a "few" rounds through my AR with it, I realized this is a good product. Held zero after several range trips, being bounced around the truck, and co-witness is great with SPOT and AimPoint.

Anything that can be removed and is essential should have a spare and this is what I bought this sight for. I pulled the rear sight and put this on to check it out. The workmanship isn't bad, no rough machining, it clicks like it's supposed to click...I'll have to take it to the range, but as a back up, it's gotta do what it's intended to do.

This sight is worth every penny and then some. I have seen similar products during my search for fixed sights and this sight I feel matches higher priced ones. The quality is excellent, more than what I expected to be getting. I mounted it on my colt tactical carbine and use it for patrol. Dont spend the money on more expensive products, this sight is great!

Purchased this BUIS after spending all my money on an EOTech, can't go into battle with out a BUIS. I was just about to chop down my old carry handle into a BUIS when a friend told me about CTD and that he had seen a BIUS on the web. I looked at it and read the reviews and decided to purchase it. I am glade I did best 30 some odd bucks I ever spent. I would have given it 5 bullets but I had to pull out the sand paper and trim the side down to make if fit snug on my flattop so it would not slide back and forth, easy fix though. Beats paying $85-$100 any day. Peace to all but if not keep your AR handy.

These appear to be a(n) excellent value.

I purchased one of these after seeing a similar one at a local show. The sight is very well made, looks great, fits and functions as it should. I would have given it a 5 star rating if I hadn't "needed" to add another small ball bearing to the sight base. When pushed clockwise the adjustable base should stop at the vertical post on the left hand side of the attachment base and then spring back about a 16th of an inch or so. Mine would hang up and not return to rest without a little help. I removed the adjustable base from the attachment base and added another small ball bearing to increase the spring pressure a bit. It now works perfectly. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is the same sight you can only find for $60- $100 more virtually anywhere else. It functions flawlessly, and maintains zero after a few thousand rounds, and after being removed and put back on. What more can you ask for in a sight.
