This thing mated up perfectly to my Daniels Defence free float handguard on my M4gery, its easy to use and adjust, and its comfortable. I have put this thing under my former Army Infantryman "gorilla testing" (I'm 6' @ 210-lbs and NOT weak). I pulled on it to stress it, knocked it around side to side... it stayed rock steady! I'm not saying its unbreakable, but it gets the job done. Great function & value for the money, and I would not say it if it were not so... GET SOME!! HUAH!!

As to the guys complaining after using it as the pump on a shotgun...WTH did you expect for this price???
Best Tactical Grip Available!
Reviewer: TacTech
6/10/2009
I've owned quite a few of these, (at least 4) & consistently buy them because from a Tactical Perspective they offer value, balance, comfort, stowability, & most importantly they're the most useful & effective Foregrip I've found anywhere. I would've paid much more for a better Foregrip if there was one available, but the only one I've found to be even comparable is the CAA Grip with Mount, but that's almost 3 times as much money. With it's battery Storage compartment filled w/CR123 Replacements for your Tactical Flashlight, it's got a very solid & balanced feel. The two sliding panels on either side are the IDEAL size for holding any standard-sized Remote Flashlight Pressure-Switch (You don't even need glue if you buy the right size switch (it'll fit snugly into the grooves). So I have to rate this the best of the Tactical Foregrips, especially if you plan on mounting a Flashlight or Laser that requires a Remote Switch, because this is the best Foregrip design for remote switched applications.

Felt and looked great until it was put on a three rail forend and after 3 rem slugs out of an 870 broke off in hand. If intended use is anything other than an AR look the other way because this product is all cheap plastic. Huge disappointment.

Awesome feel however it didn't come with a screw to lock it on the rail the grip has a pin that tightens down from the top that wasn't quite long enough but a dab of liquid weld on top extended the pin and made a tight fit. GTG

If your having problems like the guy named C.J. on here was having, DO NOT USE A DREMEL OR MALLET LIKE THEY DID. You have to take out the entire screw slide it on, then screw it back in, it slides between the rails on the picitanny and then tightens the sides together...
I LOVE IT ON MY AR!!!!!!!!!

Got this grip for the price and size... I hate the tiny grips. It is not the best and sturdiest grip on the market... but it does work well for the price. It holds the AA batteries for my Eotech and holds the pressure pads for my light and I have fired about 1000 rounds with it on there, and it works great. If you want the one that will take a bullet and stay straight... go take out a loan, because they are expensive.
The guy that gave this one bullet... should he really be employed by law enforcement? Using a hammer on plastic? Then wondering why it cracked? Send it back before you destroy it... everything comes with a return label!

This is a great grip to use on any picatinny rail except for one problem. The "screw" or bolt or whatever that tightens it to the rail is made of plastic and as such it deformed when I was adjusting the grip on my rail. This could just be a problem with me but even cinched down all the way it still has a tiny bit of side to side wobble. Overall it's good but i'd rather have one with a metal bolt.

I bought this grip for the pressure pad cut out as well as the sturdy look. First I tried to use a mallet to get it to slide on. Then I used a file to try to smooth out the slide portion. Next I actually had to use a Dremel tool to grind out some of the plastic and still had to use a hammer to get it on the rails I bought from CTD. Needless to say the grip started cracking the first time I deployed it on duty as a Police Officer.

Absolutely can not be beat for the money. You could pay 70 and get the TD grip but I sure wouldn't. It is plastic but seems pretty stout, and the battery compartment is O-ringed which impressed me, plus it has a spring inside the handle to keep pressure on the batteries to keep them from rattling. If I was a pro I might spend the extra money to get something a little beefier but I'm not so this is great.

I bought this grip because it was the only one available at the time. I thought it looked quite bulky and would be cumbersome. In reality, its quite comfortable. It is bigger than most, but fits well in your hand. And even though it is a polymer grip, it feels very sturdy and attaches to my rails very well. Id definately recommend it.

I bought this for use on a Mossberg 500 with a picatinny rail forend. Much more comfortable than tommy-gun style pistol grip forends I've used that put your hand at an awkward angle and do not allow for anything but a standard grip. Works great with a streamlight mounted about 1.5 inches in front of it on the rail. Provides a good balance point to my shotgun and easy access to the streamlight switch. Very comfortable to hold in any position and great when working the shotgun's action. Bulky enough to feel sturdy without feeling like a baseball bat. My military days are far behind me so I can't comment on mil/field use, but for home defense and range use should do a bang-up job.

This is a great feeling grip and secures tightly to my tac rail. I had to cut away a bit of the support on the back of mine so I could quick detatch it by sliding it toward the receiver instead of also removing whatever I had installed in front of it and taking it off towards the muzzle like I believe was intended. As far as SPC 6's comment on it not being sturdy enough for combat, I have yet to fall on mine repeatedly or run it full force into a concrete wall so I have no comment other than it feels like is would take most non-combat wear in stride! And as for the guy who couldnt figure out how to attach his pressure switches: Remove battery compartment, Slide out either right/left side's textured plastic tab, Slide in pressure switch, cord side up(may require some gorilla glue to stay put), and DONE!
Good stuff

I've had this on my Bushmaster AR-15 since Feb. I bought a short rail to mount it on the bottom. So I could still just hold the forestock or use the grip. Terrific price. Very solid and well made. I have a tri-mount rail on the top. I have my tactital light and laser mounted on them. With the pressure switches mounted firmly in the slots that you take out the filler pieces. I don't trust the double-tape. So I got black cable ties and wrapped them around the swtiches top and bottom. Tightened them down and cut off the extra. If you get them positioned right they aren't in the way at all.

Unless I'm going blind, picture makes it look to be of better quality than it actually is. If I would have known that it was made out of plastic, I may have considered buying a different one. I'm a civilian and even I can see how it probably wouldn't hold up to well "in action". However, it does look good and is very comfortable. I'll let you know how it does at the range...

I put my AR-15 Forend Grip on my AK-47 I have a Tri-Rail Universal Barrel mount on my AK and a 5" Picatinny Riser added on to it to come back a little bit [so I am not stretching to hold it! I had a Romanain front grip ,but it did not allow you to hold it [very well] like a traditional rifle so I put the original wood front stock back on! but now! I have the best of both worlds! I can shoot it like a traditional rifle [holding the wood front stock] or I can hold it Tactical style! I have a 5mw Green laser on the side of the tri-rail and on the right hand side I have a Tactical flashlight [90 lumens] with 7per sec. strobe to blind perps in the dark[the darker the better!] the AR-15 Forend grip works great! ,just line up the holes on your Picatinny rail tighten it down and "go to town!" the only thing I did not care for was you need a coin or a common screwdriver [with a thick wide blade] BUT I have the fix it that worked for me! I took out the old drimmal with a thin cutting wheel and found that a quarter is just a little smaller than the slit so I cut about 1/4 off so it was the length of the slit, then I super glued that quarter in the slot! once dry I used some grill spray paint to give it a flat black look. Now I can get them three 123 batterys in no time and it don't look bad! I put My laser pressure switch in the grip {it fit tight, but better tight than not! } and it works great! I can reach the flashlight button no problem! [I use my thumb! If you buy this it is going to be the best $11.97 you ever spent! 5-STARS!!!!!!!!

Great product for little $$$. The slots are really great for mounting light/laser pressure switches. True it's a little bigger than other foregrips but if you have bigger hands it's actually better. For those wondering why they didn't get pins or screws for this...YOU DON'T NEED THEM!!! This unit attatches the same way that my knights Armament foregrip does. The center post uses pressure to hold it to the rail. I've had a knight armarment on my current M4 and several prior including the one I carried in the Marine Corps and on a SWAT Team, and never had a problem with wiggling loose. The only reason I purchased this one is because of the slots for the pressure pads. Take it from a professional who relies on equiptment to keep myself and others alive, this will be a great purchase.

This one doesn't come with a pin or screw nor does it need to. When you screw out that tube, slide it on the rail, then you screw the tube back in, look through that hole in the side and you'll notice when you screw the tube in a knob sticks up to hold the grip in place on that rail. It works good, I have this on my AR15 and will probably buy another one for my FAL when I get it.

Customer service emailed me, and they are sending me another grip. I have since figured out that this one attaches to the rail by tightening the bottom of the compartment tube against the rail. It seems to work fine, but I would have not ordered it had I know it attached to the rail in this manner. I would prefer screws. But for the money, it seems to be a good grip. It feels tight once in place. I have not got to shoot with the grip yet, but it seems like a secure fit.
Good, if I could put it on my rail

This grip seems fine, except that mine did not come with any type of screw or pin to push through the holes to secure it to a rail. Anyone else have this problem? Also, you will need a flat screwdriver or similar tool to remove the cap for the compartment. The entire plastic tube screws out easily, but the cap to open to gain access to the contents of the compartment is slotted and recessed requiring some type of flat edge to open it.
I have contacted customer service and am awaiting a reply as to if they will ship me a screw or pin for it. It did not come with any way to affix it to the rail.
great grip

The reviews are right on. I figured with the low price quality would be marginal. It's well built and fits great on my rail. Comfortable grip, well worth the price.

This was a great addition to my Stag Arms Model 1H A3. I can shoot as fast as I want without having the sight move away from the target. It is a great peace of hardware. Leapers makes some great products.

By far the best value for a pistol grip. This grip fits tight, looks sweet, holds batteries and two pressure switches, and feels great. By far the best value out there.
Can't beat it!

This is a neat little grip. Super easy to put on, and feels great. No worries about your hand slipping off as the pressure switch inserts on each side have a sand paper like texture to insure a good grip when you don't have any pressure switches mounted in there. My only beef is the pressure switch for my laser is a little too narrow and just pops in and out, so I have to use some electrical tape to hold it in place. But that's my fault because I bought a cheap laser, lol. Maybe some of the better ones use a more standardized pressure switch size. But a great grip, especially for the price!

I JUST INSTALLED ON MY DPMS M4 GLACIER GAURDS AND USED A RAIL ON THE BOTTOM. FITS GREAT AND WOULD RECOMMEND. HAS A STORAGE PLACE FOR 3 123 BATTERIES AND CUT OUT SLOTS FOR PREASURE SWITCH ON EACH SIDE. IT SECURES BY TIGHTEN THE BOTTOM OF THE GRIP. BEATS A 65.00 TANGO DOWN.
Tango Down down!!

Just bought this grip for my Rock River AR-15 and it's awesome. I prefer this over the cheaper normal vertical grip because it's a little fatter so your hand wraps around it more comfortably. And I bet people who spent $60 on a Tango Down is crying in their beers right now. I say buy this before Leapers gets sued because it's an almost exact copy at 1/6 the price. Can't beat that.

Great accesory for any rail system. I really liked the fact there's no bolt and screw, it's very simple. Oh and as for the battery compartment it looks like it's meant to be opened with a quarter.
Great grip , great price

I recently bought this grip from CTD for my ak and i love it. it gives the gun one heck of a bad boy look. Installation only took a few seconds and i would recomend this for anyone who has an Ak-47 or Ar-15 with Picantinny rails.

I have this grip on my Rock River AR-15 with the quad rail hand guard. Can't be beat for the price. The slots for pressure switch's works great for the Streamlight TLR-1 switch.

Just recieved Grip, shipping only took 2 days from placing order. Grip fits and feels good. Only complaint is the battery storage. It holds 3 surefire batts, but it takes a screwdriver to take them out, other then that Great.
Best Buy!

This is the grip to buy! Slotted for light switches, storage for batteries, finger grooves for a better grip, firmly mounts to rails, not to mention an unbeatable price! What more could you ask for?

Nice and tight, only problem was one of the two I ordered stripped slightly when I unscrewed the battery case. It was a pain to get back in straight but I did. Wish there was a download page for pictures to show these products being used, that would be cool. Great price for this grip.
Another good grip

I have purchased all there of these grips, black, coyote and green, all have performed well. A litttle bulky but very comfortable. Side pressure pad panels are great, battery sotrage is good, 2 AA or 3 123 Lithium. End cap is both slotted and "knurled" which is good to have BOTH features.

this is really a good grip. both side pressure switch slots are great for lights and laser cords. the only flaw i've found is the sloted cap on the storage compartment and the plastic tip that sets in the rail mount . it;s holding up very well after a year of heavy use on M4. I would buy another one.
