Everything fit just how it should and works just as good. Every collapsible stock I've held has had atleast a little wiggle to them, this is no different. Mine fits nice and tight all around and only wiggles if you really try. Great product for the money...

The plastic stock seems ok compared to other M4 style stocks, but the quality of the hardware is terrible. The finish inside the buffer tube looks like a file, the castle nut it came with was not usable. The buffer, spring, and tube are sub standard compared to others and not THAT much cheaper.

Drop it on my Rock River, no complaints. The standard AR tool fits perfect on the nut. Feels great and best of all it was cheaper than dirt.

I ordered this for a build I am doing. The buffer was the wrong size for the buffer tube! Cheaper Than Dirt will not just send me a buffer from another kit, so back it goes. I will also never order from Cheaper Than Dirt Again!

This thing is a true piece of junk. The buffer's roll pin backed out after about 500 rounds and caused a catostrophic failure of the buffer inside the tube. The castle nut is so out of spec that a castle nut wrench won't fit on it. The inside of the buffer tube is so rough, the buffer hangs up occassionally inside the tube!!! I have never seen anything so poorly made.

All collapsible stocks will wiggle a little bit- there's no avoiding it. This one installs easily but you should use the proper tool.

Just installed the stock and am rather disappointed. The action between the inside of the buffer tube and the buffer spring is very abrasive creating almost a grinding feel and sound when cycling the bolt. Stock itself does wiggle as several others have mentioned. Gonna wait for the next gun show and personally inspect the replacement for this piece of junk.

It works just fine and half the price easy to install. I have it on a bushmaster ar and hasn't failed me yet!

Excellent fit on my Double Star lower. Easy installation with the proper tool. All adjustable stocks have a little wiggle to them, so don't be surprised.

This stock looks fairly decent and the buttstock part is well constructed, but the buffer tube was really rough which makes adjusting the stock like dragging sandpaper across sandpaper. The stock wobbles on the buffer tube and I also have trouble getting the stock to positively lock into a position, usually have to smack the butt to get it to lock into place. For some reason this design also makes using the charge handle a difficult task. On top off all that it has no instructions or at least a cheap diagram of assembly. It will have to do for the weekend warrior in me but not a stock for serious use.

The buffer tube threads are under sized and very loose where it attaches to the lower receiver. Even though the castle nut was tightened securely, the buffer tube shifted after approx. 50 rounds and bound the bolt in the full rearward position. Do not buy if you may use your rifle for anything other than target shooting.

Ordered a couple of these for ARs that I am assembling. Great stock for the price. Nice heavy duty sling attachment. I am going to order at least one more base on the quality of the first two.

I just installed one of these on my Bushmaster AR15 and it works great. I gave it 4/5 stars only because the stock came with absolutely no instructions. Had to install with help from internet and trial & error. Quality matches rifle (top notch).

The stock itself is nice. The spring & buffer are top notch, but the buffer tube is cheaply constructed & comprised of soft metal which has chipped away a bit at the threads. Not enough to disrupt function, but enough to bother me. Overall, it's a good enough product for the price.

I bought this item just because I couldn't find a receiver extension tube anywhere else. I'm very disappointed in it. First, even thought the item description says "military" M4 stock, it isn't a milspec tube, it is a commercial sized one. Second, the castle nut provided is so soft that the ears rounded off under very light torque. I'm a mechanic by profession, and this isn't my first build by any means. I know I didn't apply too much force, its just poor materials. The castle nut appears to be made from cheap aluminum instead of hardened steel. Third, because the castle nut ears rounded off, the carbine wrench slipped and left tool marks on the buffer tube and my receiver (tiny, but there) I'm not too worried about this gun, cause its just gonna be a backup/truck gun, but if someone else is building something they want to stay nice, DON'T USE THE SUPPLIED CASTLE NUT!! Buy a good one. And last, the collapsible stock doesn't click cleanly into each position. In a couple of positions, I have to jiggle the stock body to get the detent to drop into place. Overall, I'm disappointed. I wasn't looking for a super high quality piece here, but I was looking for one that would assemble and function properly.

locking mechanism is nothing, rattles when in position, noisy movement. Not something that I would recommend for anyone that is looking for a quite function.

GREAT!!! The price and installation are GREAT!!! It took me ten mintues to install (with AR-15 wrench) and it fits great! I took my AR-15 to the range and fires just awesome! I higly recommend this item!

This is a great buy for the money. I did it without the ar-15 tool and everything can out great. Do be aware when you are taking off the old stock not to lose the little spring in there... That was not very fun to look for for 20 minutes! It is very easy if you go slow and maybe watch an instructional video on you tube like i did. it definitely helped me a lot.

Fits great on my Bushmaster AR-15. I have the XM15 E2S Shorty Carbine. This thing looks mean!! My first time installing something like this and also my first time disassembling my AR. I took things REALLY slow and it took me about 35 minutes. I should have bought the AR tool as I can't get the stock nut tight enough so I will be buying one soon to tighten it up. Everything fit perfectly though. A great looking stock, heavy duty, matches and feels great. Everything tight. The stock was made in Taiwan for those wondering and is a UTG stock. I'm very happy.

bought this for a classic 16'' A-15 by DPMS. it is a little tricky to install if you have never taken your A2 stock off before. just be careful and go slow. i did it without proper tools and everything came out perfect. it gives the A-15 the sweet M4 carbine look and feel also shoots just as smooth if not better.

I bought this stock, I must admit I was a litte apprehensive of stuff from ctd after my last purchase 3 years ago. This is a great stock. Worth every penny. Locks in all 6 positions. Comes with everything you need. No thrills but a great basic mForgery stock. I recomend this unit, Took about 10 minutes to install for me as it was my first time. Be careful if its your first time doing this of the springs and hold them so they do not fly. I bought the ar-15 tool- and it was helpful for the castle nut.

Yet another item for your AR that you will need to buy. Locks great, easy to install, and feels good on the weapon. I would buy many more if I had to install stocks on several different rifles.

very good quality import made stock set--not from the mainland of big C. good quality overall, standard buffer and ONE spring set.good and correct fit. commercial buffer and tube. fits and works fine on my m-forgery. would buy another.

I put this on my latest AR-15 build and it looks great and functions perfectly! Solidly locks in each position and very simple to install. Great product and for the price, you can't do any better!

I put this on my Colt and it works great easy to install and love being able to fold the stock in close for shooting being a shorter guy.I would recomend this product to anyone!!!!!

I bought one of these for my old Colt and it fit just fine. It locks up nice and tight, with a minimum of rattle. For the price you cannot go wrong.

This was a small concern for me to switch out my solid stock but when I did, boy, this is a solid unit. Easy to install without a tool and is very solid. Comes with the new buffer that fits great. I am happy and to top it all off it is cheaper(than dirt!). Get one.

Just received this stock and attached it to my Olympic Arms AR-15. Went on in about 5-10 min. and would have been faster if this hadn't been my first time. I didn't have an AR tool either but tightened it up using a rubber strap with no problems. Took it out and shot this weekend and it performed great in ALL 6 positions. This is a great stock for the price and it looks awesome. BUY IT

Excellent features and quality for half the price or less than the competition! The originals were only 2 position and cold metal! I have installed several of these for friends , and they all love them. I would caution you to be careful if you've never installed one on an AR before. The spring plunger can and will pop out and be lost in the blink of an eye. Use a well-lit open area for assembly, and you can just tighten the knob with a brass drift punch if you don't have a spanner wrench. This stock also allowed my kids and wife to go out and enjoy shooting my AR and AK with me. This really opened their eyes and nullified the "GREAT MYTH" or lies told about our "ASSAULT" rifle collection. Now we all love "assaulting" paper and cans! Have fun.

The stock would collapse by just mounting the weapon. Locking was almost non-existent. I just got off the phone with customer service for a RMA number to return for refund. Spend the extra $30.00 for something of higher quality. Very disappointing.

Good stock. Six positions of fun. For those who have never installed ont take note: don't go by the picture. Check the internet for installation instructions (mine didn't come with any). Also, I would HIGHLY recommend getting an AR tool. The tool has the spanner wrench for tightening the stock ring. Without it your left to visegrips and WILL mar the ring up. Also the stock came with two (2) recoil springs, one slightly longer than the other. Choose the one best for you. Happy Shooting!

This is a great M4 stock. The price is very competitive. After looking all around for pricing, CTD's quality and pricing is all your answers to your shooting needs.
