Works For Me

Bought 100 rounds to test in my RRA 308 carbine. No jamming/FTF issues whatsoever, even when firing fast. Using an EOTech, shot about 3-4" at 100 yards. I bet the ammo is more accurate than that if I had a scope. I was surprised how powerful this stuff was, it generated quite a bit of recoil (that's a good thing in my book). With the soft point and the price, you can't go wrong.

This ammo is good, it works great and it shoots 2inch groups at 200 yd in my semi auto.

Went through 330 rds in two days. not 1 missfire, or malfunction in the saiga. Very accurate out to 200 yards. I wouldnt be afraid of downing a buck at that range with the Soft points.

Awesome and cheap!

Bought 120 rounds of this and it shot GREAT through my Marlin XS7 and Tikka T3. I had one fail to fire out of about 80 rounds shot, must have been a bad primer. This stuff is really accurate. I was pegging things at 300 yards with it and it seemed really consistent. At this price, you can bet I'll be buying more!!!

Put 20 through my PTR-91 last weekend, worked great. Not lacquered --- a big deal for me. I shot these last as it's not advisable to shoot brass after steel. I wish they made .308 HPs like they do with .223! Will buy more.

Fed and locked up into my DPMS, Remington VTR and Remington Model Four (7400). Accurate when it shoots but the feeding and seizing problems are too much.

Works great in my kimber 84 .308 and my M14 but my DPMS hates it. Amazing ammo for bolt actions though. I use alot of silver bear in my Mosin Nagaunt so i figured id give it a go...I'll be going back to American Eagle.

Bought 100rnds of the 145gr stuff while deployed. Just tried it through my FAL. Despite trying several different gas settings, I could not get this ammo to feed consistantly. Would not always generate enough pressure to extract...even with the gas system fully closed. Consistant jams with steel cased ammo are a terrible for you rifle. Yes, it was dirty too, but I expected that. There is a reason the price is so low.

By far the most dirty ammo i have ever shot! Got a brand new PTR 91, cleaned it, shot some of these out of it, cleaned it again. the second time i cleaned it there was more grim and black junk in it than the first time i cleaned it (new guns have a thick coat of time protecting oil- not lube) BUT for this price who could really complain, i had no stove pipes out of the 400 i shot. Maybe it was just the brilliant design of my PTR, maybe it was the ammo. Now if i can only find some Brown Bear...

I bought 100 rounds of this ammo and ran it through my M1A Loaded rifle. Only shot one 10 round clip without a jam. It also leaves red debri from the primer sealant. This ammo is definitely the worst ammo I have ever come across.

Great mag dump ammo as the title states! did not hold good groups fun to just range shoot! Do not use if you want to sight in a scope or iron sites! Went threw 200 rounds and had 3 FTL! one of which was my fault for touching the mag! Cant expect to much at .50 a round!

Went to the range with 500 rounds of this and it shot VERY well and amazingly clean in my ptr-91. Started with VERY light coat of oil on the weapon and made it about 450 rounds before the first jam, tiny spritz of oil and it was running like a dream still. Cleanup was a breeze. -Needs- to come back into stock SOON!

This is really good ammo, it works flawlessly in my M-1A. The ammo is 145 gr. but it works great for anything out to 300 yards. For a range of over 300 yards, I would recommend a heavier grain bullet. But for this price, its great for a nice day at the range. I am buying more of this ammo. Thanks CTD.

I Fired off 40 rounds today and for the most part this is a great range ammo. I had 4 FTL 2 FTF. Great ammo for practice would not recommend for anything else.

We shoot 500 rounds of silver bear ammo each time we go to the Range. we shoot the following weapons. Mini-14 .223, Saiga 223. H & K-91 7.62, M1A1 (M-14) 7.62. and 9 mm auto. We shoot 240 rounds today (03-10-06) 308 and 5.56 X 45 no problems what so ever. My son plans on using some 308 SP to go deer hunting with this year.

i've tried silver bear in many other calibers and had always been very pleased with the performance. i never had the chance to try it in 308 because of the price, but CTD made it possible for me to acquire ample amounts of this ammo. the performance of this ammo through my saiga 308 is outstanding. accuracy is great from an AK platform at between 1 1/2-2 inches at 50 yards with open iron sights. could be half that with a good scope and mount. the bullets expanded well comparable to commercial rounds like PMP and CORELOKT. penetration was about 14 inches into wet news media. definately the best bargain for a soft point 308 round thats performance is top notch.
