XM193 product is first run, first quality product manufactured at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant for Federal Cartridge and is made to Federal specifications typical for commercial ammunition.

Brass (Copper Alloy No. 260)
55 gr. FMJ Boat-Tail
M41 Operating Range: (-40 degrees to +125 degrees F)
Water resistant lacquer
Each loaded cartridge shall be headstamped with the manufacturer's symbol and year of manufacture
3165 +/- 40 FPS (78 feet from muzzle) using a 5.56 test barrel, 20" long

100% mechanical and/or electrical detection of propellant levels within the cartridge
100% visual inspection of finished cartridges prior to packaging

I have yet to have a misfire or a pop no kick with this ammo. I have no problems hitting targets at 500 yrds with my AR-15 Varmint rifle with this ammo. It is the same ammo I learned to depend on in the military. If your using an M-16, M-4, AR-15 and your having problems with this ammo it's probably your rifle. Take your bolt completely apart and clean it properly. Don't forget these weapons require gun oil to function properly. Keep them clean and maintain it correctly and I bet this ammo will function properly for you as well.

This ammo is a P.O.C. Went to to range and couldn't fire auto because of poor rounds. Had 5 Fail to Fire out of 90 rounds. Sad thing is: I have 310 MORE rounds of POS ammo. Avoid this reload!

I purchased a bunch of this back in mid march. I was at the range a few weeks ago putting rounds through my AR and had probably 5-6 failure to fires with this stuff out of 100 rounds. I looked over the rounds and only one of them seemed to have what I would classify as a "light primer strike," So I am fairly sure this was an ammo malfunction and not my firearm. I got input from two other shooters who were present; one told me maybe my gun was gunked up because of the black tar residue on the rounds (it was in fact on the ammo when i bought it, as the gentleman below me stated as well) and the other guy looked over my firearm with me and said that everything seemed to be working right to him (examined the firing pin, bcg, hammer spring strength, etc) and then gave me a stripper clip of the ammo he was running at which the gun ran fine and told me he believed it was the ammo. With all that aside the ammo had no other issues and was accurate and priced right. Maybe I just got a bad batch or something. If I end up finding an issue with my gun I will make another review and rate the ammo 5 stars.
