Death on Groundhogs

This is the best round I've ever hunted with in my CZ 452! It delivers enough punch and is quiet enough that the squirrels and other critters keep playin'.I've killed about five groundhogs and countless squirrels with this stuff. My CZ 452 2E ZKM loves this ammo!
Best Subsonic 22 you can buy!

Remington is the KING when it comes to Subsonic ammo. Very consistant, clean burning, accurate, reliable, and it will cycle any semi-auto. I have tried ALL of the subsonic .22 brands, and none of the others even come close to Remington. Trust me on this....14,700 subsonc rounds fired makes me a subsonic connoisseur.
By the way, if you are curious, Aguila subsonic is the worst I have found. If you shoot a semi auto rifle, make sure the advertised fps is AT LEAST 1000 fps or you will have cycling problems. Remington is 1050 fps. You can expect 2 duds out of 100 Remington subsonics, which is typical of all the top subsonic name brands. You are lucky if half of the Aguila fire.

Plastic Easter eggs

Amazing ammo!!! Shooting with my Ruger MKII Bull Barrel, was shooting leftover plastic easter eggs at 25 yards...offhand. cycled some rounds through my wife's Wather P22 and got some pretty impressive groups offhand at 15 feet. this particular Walther P22 disliked and jammed on the high velocity ammo but loved the sub-sonic ammo. easily kept the group inside a 3" target at the 15 foot range with the walther P22.

I have used over 1000 rounds of this in my Beretta U22 7.5 Deluxe Semi-Auto. Have never had a misfire it always fully cycles and is the most accurate ammo I have used in this Pistol.
Able to shoot 10 rounds in the diameter of a quarter at 25'
So-so ammo

This ammo from Remington is "OK" but nothing more IMO (and others). It has a loud-ish "pop" compared to other sub-sonic ammo on the market. It'll work, but there is better here at CTD.
Misfire ?

I have used this ammo in three different .22 rifles (bolt action, lever action, semi-auto) over the past several years. I get very good groups to 50 yards when shooting from a rest with my scoped Marlin 39A. My home range only goes to 50 yards.
I like it because it is subsonic and with the low noise neighbors are not as jumpy when I am having target practice. My only concern is that I am getting more and more misfires. This is happening in all three rifles. My Remington 512 has probably had 100,000 rounds fired in it since I got it in 1964, and I do not ever recall a misfire until a few years ago using this ammo. However, before moving to an area with more people I always used high velocity ammo such as the Remington golden bullets, Super-X, and CCI.
My Marlin has had less than 5000 rounds fired in it, and I have a 10/22 that has had several thousand rounds fired in it, but has never misfired with any other ammo. By the way this ammo works just fine in the 10/22 when it does not misfire.
I am probably averaging 2-3 misfires per 100 rounds. About half the time the misfired round will fire if it is rotated so the firing pin hits a different spot. Since I am having this problem in all three rifles I do not think it is a firearm problem. The misfires are the reason I have not given this ammo a top rating.
Also, just wondering? Has anyone else had misfire problems with this ammo?
Great Semi-Auto Ammo

This stuff works really good. It is relatively quiet and accurate at about twenty-five yards. The great part is that it cycles my Marlin 60 almost every time. Only if my bolt gets exceptionally dirty after a lot of shooting does it fail. I like it, good stuff.
