.22 Long Rifle, Aguila Super Colibri, 20 Grain Lead Round Nose Bullet, 500 Round Brick.

Aguila Super Colibri is super quiet ammo that does not contain gun powder but fires from the force of the primer only. Powerful and silent, great for use in urban areas. This is a 20 grain solid lead bullet in a brass case. Will break glass and penetrate hard tin cans. Velocity is 500 fps at the muzzle with 11 ft/lbs of energy and can be lethal. This ammo works great and is intended for .22 handguns only.

Non returnable item.

Not recommended for use in long barreled guns as the projectile may become lodged and be dangerous (lethal) if a regular cartridge is shot as a follow up. Will not cycle in semi auto guns.
Uses: Indoor training, pest control.

I bought these because I had a pest problem.I would feed my dog and as I sat drinking my cofee a couple pigeons began eating my dog food.Within a couple weeks the pigeons passed the word about free eats!! I counted sixteen birds,now they were eating half the dog food.The Super Colibri were just great at ending my problem.There are loud out of my pistol, but sound like a BB gun out of my sons 22 bolt action, Five Stars all the way.

I have reviewed these before, and noted a single problem (one explosion as it was being chambered.) I never figured out why this happened, and after another case or so (5000 plus rounds) have never had the same incident occur. That said, these rounds say they are for pistols only, but are quite loud out of short barrels. The best is to use short barrel rifles. Then the loudest sound is the hammer falling (I shoot a Henry 001 and a Ruger 10-22), and the slap of the target. Accurate to 50 yards. I can hit soda cans at this distance. And rabbits. But most of the energy is gone, so try and keep it under 30 yards for small game to ensure a humane end. Excellent for training. Buy these by the case! happy shooting.

This round is not meant for hunting/killing. Squirrels will laugh at you. Round has no powder there for will not cycle semi-auto's best suited for bolt-actions, pumps, levers. Crazy quiet round when shot through a rifle slightly quieter than a cap gun pistols are louder but you will never need hearing protection with this round. When shooting trees with this ammo at 40yrds you get a brief pause between firing and round impact. I say again you can hear the round smack the tree. That’s how quiet these things are. Take warning when using. These rounds are still dangerous and should be treated as any other live round.

I've gone through a 500 round brick of these now and I have mixed feelings about them. I've tried using them in my Ruger MarkII pistol and they are LOUD. Don't expect to remain covert if you fire these from a pistol. However, against manufacturers advice, I have fired the vast majority of them from my Remington 513T in an attempt to negate my squirrel infestation. The results are less than stellar on accuracy, but firing from the rifle, all I can hear is the snap of the firing. The issue is that they are somewhat shorter than the LR chamber. This allows a lot of fouling in the chamber gap. If you fire 10 of these and then attempt to chamber a standard LR cartridge, the bolt won't even close. I have to brush out the chamber first. I've noticed a severe drop-off in accuracy after about 5 rounds. At 50ft, the groups jump wildly to 2-3 inches. So in the end, these have a purpose and they are useful, but you will need to constantly clean the chamber of your firearm. For the record, I'm buying another 500 rounds because they do what I need for them to do: kill squirrels without making any noise.

Bought a box of 500....absolutely NO duds...but, occasionally I have to fire same round twice :) After about 200 rounds, cleaning was badly needed as accuracy was getting really poor...Cleaning fixed that. They are pretty quiet, but only slightly more quiet than CB Caps shorts...Don't expect them to be as quiet as some have posted. These are DEATH on squirrels at treetop distance...Fixing to order another 500 rounds.
