Aguila .22 Super Colibri is super-quiet ammo that does not contain gun powder but fires from the force of the primer only. Powerful and silent, great for use in urban areas. This is a 20-grain bullet in a brass case. Will break glass and penetrate hard tin cans. Velocity is 500 fps (11 foot-pounds) at the muzzle and can be lethal. This ammo works great and is intended for .22 handguns only. Simply some of the best ammo on the market today with a low noise rating.

There are 50 rounds per box, 10 boxes per 500 Round brick. We sell this by the 500 Round brick. A full case would be 10 bricks or 5,000 rounds. Non-returnable item; we will not accept any returns on this.

Do not use in long-barreled guns, as the projectile may become lodged and be dangerous (lethal) if a regular cartridge is shot as a follow up. Will not work the slide in semi-auto handguns.

Non-returnable item; we will not accept any returns on this.

Because it is effectively a .22 short round, and because it has a pointed tip, it does not feed well in many magazines. Only my stock 10/22 mag will reliably feed it. However, the last round will never feed because the pointed tip will not ride up the feed ramp very well. Finally, I think because of the short case there are occasional FTEs which require one to remove the mag and pry out the case with a blade. Still, however, I bought it to shoot in the back yard and it still does that better than I could expect anything else to do, so I will still be purchasing this ammo and recommending it to others. (Editor note: This ammo is intended for pistols only)

Great ammo for practicing in an urban backyard. They really aren't lying when they say it is as loud as a pellet rifle. This round produces 11 ft-lbs of energy, and when you shoot it from a gun designed for cartridges producing 10 times that amount of energy, then you should expect that it won't be enough to cycle the action. Your semi-auto will basically work like a bolt-action rifle. I bought this ammo to get a small taste of shooting without having to bug the grandparents or go to the range, and I am more than satisfied!

VERY VERY quiet in numerous rifles. No louder than a BB rifle. However had TONS of feed problems in 3 diff actions: Iver Johnson pump, Win auto loader, and Henry lever. Shells were not being removed by extractor. Happens about every 7th shot on all actions. Thought it was the extractors but they worked fine with 100 rds of Winchester .22LR. Buy one box to try it out with your extractor first and then get the 500 rd box if it's ok.

I shoot about a brick of this ammunition every month. I live in a Semi-Populated area and the sound of firing a standard .22 LR round does bother some of my neighbors, so I ordered a 50 round box of this ammo just to try. It was really quiet, and performed plenty accurately. Since then, I've shot about three bricks, not a failure or anything. It has performed flawlessly, and I'll continue ordering it as long as it's available. Dovehunter

I've used these for years. Told my local gunsmith about them 5 years ago and he still carries them and recommends them to me when I come in about once every 4-5 months. He doesn't remember who brought them to his attention. He even keeps a little plate of examples that went through a gallon of water and hit a steel plate. Most everyone has said pretty much what I've felt about them. I use them in an old single shot bolt action page lewis arms rifle. Can sit in my back yard and plink and the only noise is hitting the can or target. They are a lot quieter than my pellet gun and better than that, the only noise is when they hit. I've literally shot them at the ground to show people how quiet they are and they are amazed. I've made money for Colibri just doing that. Anyway, they do wonders on just about any pesky little critter that shouldn't be on your property.

Okay. We all want a quiet (silent) round so we can shoot where ever & when ever we want. We REALLY want an appliance that silences our gunfire regardless of caliber, but that ain't gonna happen. I shoot this stuff with a lever action Browning and it truely is as quiet as a pellet gun (long gun), and is quieter than a pellet hand gun. The impact is sweet too. I shoot with open sights so the effective range of the bullet plenty satisfying. Don't be a crybaby about the accuracy! Its pretty damn good for just 500 FPS man! My only gripe is the piles of brass I'm creating. I fired some rounds through a revolver recently and, as every one else has reported, it's loud. Actually a loud "bang" that definitely sounds like gunfire. I have not experienced any abnormal dirtyness or barrel leading. I run a few patches through every 4 or 5 boxes which seems to take care the crap. I've just finished my first brick and today I'm ordering 2 more. I used to shoot at the deer on my property with .22 cal pellets via a nice Beeman rifle. They'ed flinch and trot off. These rounds give those deer a real smack on the back-side and they run off like their tail is on fire!

Very quiet in a rifle barrel. Just a little snap and the impact is a reasonably stout thud. I've never gotten it stuck in a 22" barrel and don't think it would be very likely. I also have tried it out of my NAA Black Widow. I thought it would be fun to use around town, but it is very loud. About as loud as a standard subsonic round through a rifle. So if you want to be shooting your little revolver around town, you'll have to look elsewhere.

I love these little bullets and have shot several thousands of them. They are not pinpiont accurate like a long rifle bullet but at close range they do the job. They will fly differently depending on what gun I use. With a Rem. 597 they can be watched through the scope get past 40 feet and start to get strange flight characteristics and sometimes they stay straight as an arrow. With a CZ bolt action they allways fly straight as they can. The 597 has looser rifling than the CZ but, it could be the bolt stays tight on the CZ. A friend of mine uses an old Marlin bolt action and has good accuracy with them. Whatever the reason they are cheap, effective against critters, and quite. When shot from a revolver they can easily be seen flying throught the air on bright days making them a little like using tracers. Just add more lead, elevation, windage etc..........

This ammo is very quiet when fired from rifles, (loud as a pellet gun) but accuracy isn't very good. Plus, you'll need to clean out the lead deposits in your barrel. I was shooting at a 3" paper target at 20 yards using single shot rifle and a low-power scope and went through 20 rounds of this ammo before giving up. I couldn't get a bullseye for the life of me, but did hit the target, at least.

Purchased several bricks and I am very impressed with the accuracy & power. Easily penetrates into one wall of a sturdy coffee can at 50 yards. 1 1/2 inch groups at 35 yards (not on a rest) is common for a skilled shooter. Very quiet when used in a rifle. As loud as a 22 short when fired from a handgun. I have fired over 1400 rounds in bolt action, lever action, and semi auto rifles with no problems whatsoever. Please be sure of your backstop! This ammo will penetrate 1" wet plywood at 25 feet. Great knock down power when compared to a .22 or .177 pellet rifle. My friends who have used this ammo all had the same response - "WOW", & you will too.

These are great in my 597. They really are as quiet as a pellet gun and have a good amount of force behind them. My Walther P-22, on the other hand.... Sounds a bit louder than a cap gun indoors. You could easily get away with shooting them out of a rifle in town, but not a hand gun. I shoot into a large box inside, filled with olds towels and clothes. They will go through a few layers, so over stuff it. I have a long hallway in my house and use it as a range. It's a great alternative to paying for a range or going out to plink in the cold.

This ammo is very quiet and is plinking accurate at under 25 feet. People make astounding accuracy claims with it, but 6" or larger groups at 25 yds is more realistic. If your rifle has a high power scope, under the proper lighting, you can actually see these rounds in flight. Oftentimes they're wobbling erratically in flight.

I was given a box by a freind to use in town. I have my own brick now. It really gives my kids a chance to target practice in the yard. Varmits are no match up to 30 yards with a 1/4 inch 10 shot pattern. With a busy schedule and no time to goto the range. I can spend time with my kids and let them enjoy shooting. All of my bolt action rifles have had no problem. Not one has failed to leave the barrel. I am still cautious. 1 pop 1 hit. Any doubt, check it out. It makes less noise than any one of my pellet guns. It penetrates the same as my 780 fps .177 pellet into a 3/4" pine board. I already have to get more. Be safe shooting.

I've never had one get stuck and I use it all the time. I've killed many many many gophers with these. So quiet that people around the park never even turn their head. A car door closing makes a lot more noise. Most of my shots are taken within the 50ft range and it's great at what it does. Stops varmints without drawing attention.

Bought some of this with the idea I might use it indoors. Won't kill my ears out of a 4" revolver, but I'll use muffs if I plan to shoot more than a few. Fairly powerful for a no-powder .22 round. This will take a chip out of a cinderblock and will penetrate a certain amount of wood, so make yourself a proper backstop / bullet trap for indoor use. Overall, I really like this ammo and will always have some on hand.

I fired this through a Walther P22 with the 3.5" barrel. As noted it will not cycle the semis, so I wasn't concerned about that. What I was concerned about was the noise. I'm glad I went to the range to try it, as it was noisier than I imagined from the previous reviews. Had I fired it in town I expect I would have had a visit from the local law enforcement. It sounds more like a small firecracker going off, than any pellet gun I've fired. Having said that it was extremely consistent, I was nailing a plastic jug at 100ft with the Walther P22 every shot, after recycling the pistol every round. I guess I'm going to have to find a small 22 revolver to shoot this ammo. It is fun to shoot, accurate, and quieter than most 22 ammo out there, but not as quiet as I thought it would be, hence the 4 bullets rather than 5.

These shells work great out of my Rem Field Master. No more crows waking me up and no more unwanted birds around the Song Bird feeders. I shot and killed a crow last week that I would estimate close to 150 feet away on a flat ground shot so the shells pack a punch if you can place the shot correctly. I did notice the shells arch some what like a BB gun but after about 75 feet they flatten out. If you have any pest from Crows to Rats you can't go wrong shooting these shells. Great in bolt action and pump 22's with very light noise. Will go through 1/2 inch wet wood privacy fence as I found out. Can't go wrong if you have a need to shoot a 22 in the city limits.

It's also accurate to about 50 yards, which is the perfect distance to peg a squirrel, rat, or other small pest in your yard. The other great thing is your neighbours will never know you're using a rifle, they'll think you're using a BB gun.

About the maximum effectiveness range is somewhere about 50 yrds. If your buying them for a rifle you will have to single feed them like I do for my 10/22 they are not powerful enough to cycle the bolt so you dont have to worry about jams. CCI has some that are pushing at 727fps. I'm going to try those next maybe they wil have alittle more power while still remaining pretty quiet like these 500 fps.

This is lots of fun to shoot and has functioned flawlessly in my fairly ancient Stevens single shot bolt action. (Not supposed to fire in a long barrel, according to the new boxes, but it seems to work just fine. Somebody had a blockage experience, I guess. So be careful. have your lawyer call my lawyer before using this stuff in a rifle.) It is quieter than a pellet gun. We tried to tell the difference between a dry fire and a discharge -- no difference in the rifle. Works well in a revolver, though there is a small discharge noise. Bullet is slow, so you can see and hear the downrange impact. Perfect for indoors (where legal, my lawyer made me say that) and truly fun outdoors. Not like anything you've tried. Buy a brick and trade away a few boxes to your friends. You won't be disappointed. MUCH fun for the money.
