AMM-005
SEE ITEM BAM-050. Original military projectile that was so deadly the U.S. thought it might be against the Geneva Convention! In the 1960s the U.S. Army began early developmental work on flechette weapons. The thought was to fire these wicked steel darts and cause massive casualties among the enemy.
Flechettes are 1" long, hardened-steel nails with fins, and number approximately 950 darts per pound. They were experimental flechette rounds for the M203 grenade launcher and the 12 gauge shotgun.
These rounds had tremendous military advantages, as they were lighter than standard rounds, had much lower recoil, had considerable range, and could penetrate body armor. A very high velocity, small diameter projectile easily penetrates body armor. We are not recommending that you load these or try to weaponize them. They represent the ultimate military weapon and a unique historical item. Great conversation piece, and sold by the pound.

WOW! I dusted off an old Daisy Powerline 860 that has a magnet to hold the BB and it is strong enough to hold the dart in the cocking bolt also. At 21 feet the dart will penetrate up to 1/3rd of the vanes in a 5/8 inch fence plank at 10 pumps. WARNING!!! The BBs will return to the shooter. one in the earlobe, one in the cheek and one in the shooter's glasses, 3 outa 4. Time to rethink. Gourds beware. The things don't all fit but who cares. Haven't seen these since my Nam days.

These things are awesome. You can do tons of stuff with them like shooting them out of a pellet gun or paintball gun. When you buy these more, and more ideas will come to your head. There are limitless possibilities to do with these. I highly recommend these.

As a retired military AMMO Troop, I just had to have these. We used to pin them through our military issue hats to show our AMMO pride. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

These little puppies are awesome! If you use them with a BB gun you dont need a wad of paper for packing, just use the BB's as packing. I am putting these halfway into a piece of redwood lumber at about 50 yards with decent accuracy. They are mass produced, so dont expect every one to fit in the barrel, I would say about every 5th one wont fit. So far no problems in my CO2 powered daisy pistol only using ones that fit "loosely" in the barrel. Managed to shoot a rat earlier and the fletchette passed right through him and lodged in the fence board behind him. Now I will have to wash the 40 ft blood trail off where he tried to escape, ended up loosing to much blood and died mid run. I will be ordering alot more of these little things soon.
kick butt solution

ingenious one
i figured out a way to use these little beauties: if you have an air rifle that has a bore of .177, then these are your ammo for varmint shooting. i just bought a pound of these, and it took me all of aout 3 seconds to figure that out. but one problem is, you have to put a small wad of toilet paper behind it so the pressure can build up, i also suggest using a ramrod for easier loading.
