After reading a few of the reviews here I was hesitant to purchase this item, but I needed something to replace the crappy Dragunov Fiberforce stock (which really sucks and looks cheap). So I bought one of these to put on my Chineese made NHM-91. CTD shipped it to me quickly and I began my task, keeping everyone's review comments in mind. I used the Dremel tool and a razor knife to remove the ribs on the stock and applied a little bar soap. It went right in and fit well and tight. Remember, depending on your variant, remove the ribs a little at a time to maintain the tightest fit you can. I drilled the screw holes and put in the funny looking screw common to AKs. I left the pistol grip for later as I knew from past reviews that the screw would not be long enogh. The lower handguard went in easy after I removed the ribs and wrestled with it a little. The upper handguard was a little more tricky - put it in a vise and it will be a lot easier. Now back to the pistol grip. I looked high and low for a 6mm bolt that was about 5 inches long. Home Depot, Lowe's and even a local Fastener and Tool Shop - no luck. My last hope was the local Ace Hardware store, but I learned that nobody makes a 6mm bolt or screw that long. There was a happy ending to this story though. While repeating to myself, "I can't believe nobody makes a bolt that long, my eyes fell on the descriptions on two of the drawers and a plan came to mind. Here is what you need to do. Ace sells 6mm studs about 3.5 - 4 inches long and in the same area it sells something called a coupling, which looks like a nut but about an inch long (6mm of course). I bought both and took them home. I put my original pistol grip screw in the bottom of the pistol grip, i screwed the coupling onto the stud and screwed that on to the pistol grip screw from the top of the grip. I placed it onto the weapon and through the hole where teh angled nut goes. I marked it and then ground it down to size. It makes the 5 inch screw you need and works well. Good solid product, 4 bullets instead of 5 because they should include a long enough screw.
