take a razor, or if you have a dremmel, you might need to shave the top piece just a bit. The bottom piece fit just fine in my Romanian ak pistol. I needed to take a rubber mallet to the metal piece that holds it in place and locks on the barrel. But it is so tight that it DOES NOT move like my old wood pieces. Top piece. Well, I'm typing this with one hand today. The other is in a cast (I broke my hand getting this piece on). That being said I will affirm that the ACOG scope that I bought fits perfectly on the top and DOES NOT MOVE ANYWHERE! I had my brother take it to the range and dump 300 rounds(brown bear) through it to double check, and no, brown bear ammo does not jam in my romanian AK. Scope is flawless, grips and rails are flawless. If you can (showing my mistake now) get the top piece on until you can fit it back into the piston slot, and then torque it with the scope on. This way you don't have to shave so much off, and it will be a super TIGHT fit. Just be careful when your swinging a hammer and a jig on plastic (thus my hand).

I put this on my Saiga and it looks fantastic. It did however take a little bit of shaving with my dremel on the lower to get it to fit just right into the reciever.

Put this on my wasr. It took a little fitting but you want to keep it very snug so when you hang a light or laser from it, they'll be stable under fire.

I put this on my ak-47 and it is sweet. The top part though is hard as hell, i nearly broke my hand installing it. Buy this and you wont be sorry.

I recently purchased this little set and wow what a change in the feel. The furniture on my old WASR 10 Romanian AK was beat to hell and this just breathed some new life into the gun. I payed a little more for it but you definately get quality for what you pay. So many rails to mount so many different things on I don't even know where to start!
