I've had my Trident for over 3 years now. I work with Law Enforcement, EMS, I'm a firefighter, and I've used it in combat. The Trident is amazing. The assisted-opening is a great feature, the main reason I bought it. I do have a problem with the locking feature, sometimes I pull it out and the lock is engaged, but I plan on fixing that by pretty much locking it in the "off" position. Just a consideration, it really doesn't bother me to the point I would call it a negative, as some people would prefer this feature. But sometimes I may have to pull it fast in a hot situation, so I'd just prefer to not have the worry. The locking mechanism and the release feature are both sturdy, when the blade is open, its gonna stay open. The release is right by your thumb, making it easy for one-handed opening and closing. The paracord cutter feature is a good idea, but I never really use it. I tried it once and it just took longer, so I just opened it up and cut the cord. The clip is ambidextrous, so you can mount it on either side in the event you're a lefty. All in all its a great knife. There are several different versions of this folder, I have the model with a tiger stripe-like design on the blade with the half-serration. I typically used to replace my personal folder every year. So every year I looked forward to buying a new knife to carry. I haven't done it in almost 4 years, and I'm really glad. Sorry for the rant, but I abuse my gear and if somethin works, I want others to know. Enjoy all.
