This is an excellent home defense round, it is not recommended in severely cold climates as criminals who wear heavy jackets will better survive a hit due to increased outer wear. On thin skinned game - massive damage resulting in death and destruction. This round works on the principal of the Bat bullet (Blitz Action Trauma) designed for the Secret Service in situations where they were fearful of shooting through a suspect and hitting someone behind them. This projectile dumps 100% of it's energy into it's target as noted - anything beyond is wasted energy. Should be mandantory requirement for close quaters living. 10 Stars!

The singel most destructive round I have seen. I worked on a guy who was shot by one of these and the tissue damage was extensive. Remarkable really, such chaos from a single shot. For the people who wish to defend themselves and fear hitting the neighbors, this may be the round for you. It is now the round for me.

Don't waste your money on this product. I've heard stories, good and bad, about the Glaser Safety Slug so I wanted to try it out myself. This round has very little penetration and if used in a self-defense situation, this round would be nothing more than an annoyance to the criminal. I also the claim that "Too much and over-penetration creates danger to unintentional targets due to ricochet or through penetration of the target" nothing but halliarious. A well-placed round will not give you over-penetration.
