I received my grips yesterday. After reading the review written by Lance I inspected the screw and sure enough the threads on the end were closed togeather. I was able to clean them up before I installed the grips. Thanks to the review the install was smooth on this set at least I didn't have to clean up the alignment holes. The Grips Look great and fit well too.

These look great and fit well. The main problem is the poor screw and nut that come with the grips, the old screw will not work. I had to dig out the allignment hole in order for them to sit flush (just use a small screwdriver). Then I popped out the nut and (using pliers) screwed the screw in and out several times. Then pop the nut back in the grip, lube up the screw and try to get it started. Both nuts just turned with the screw, so I applied some back pressure with another screwdriver. These are not easy on, easy off, so forget about using the internal lock. On my second set the grip cracked when I tightened the screw (damn!). Otherwise they look good. I may order a replacement pair, but I wonder if I can even get these things off (or if it is worth it because I will probably drop the gun one day and crack it anyway). Oh, and since you have to use their crappy nut and screw... you have a brass complement to your stainless gun (boo!).
