worked ok for about 30 rounds then it started to shut off. I would switch to a diffrent setting and it would work for a bit then go out. They sent me a new cap and it will only go on if it is in between settings. To top it off they want to charge me to send it back so they can look at it. So I have to pay them again so they can tell me it does not work. so if your gun has a kick iI would not get this product.

it's on back order so I haven't got it yet, but I got it over @ Sportsman's Guide. With all the mixed reviews I have to say glad I did, won't be too disappointed if it doesn't work out on my DPMS 5.56

I mounted this sight on my Stag 5.56 rifle and it worked wonderfully until 200 rounds went through. Then, out of nowhere, the reticle dropped to the bottom of the sight and would not raise high enough to get back back on target. This product is a waste of money, even for plinking. Don't bother.

I was looking at a smaller, more expensive sight in oct. but this one had better reviews so I bought it instead. Put it on a 10" T/C Contender in 44mag. Sighted in fine and after 200+ rounds of heavy loads it's still right on. I'm happy with it.

You get what you pay for. I could not get the reticles to move. I loosened the locking screws and turned all day and they would not move. Yes I did it correctly, I have other red dots. Maybe I just got a defective one.

Mounted this on a 12 gauge shotgun, put slugs 00 buckshot & 000 3 inch buckshot through the shotgun. Stays on target! Simply put tighten it down, tighten the set screw that locks the windage & elevation adjustment and it will hold sero. If you know what you are doing when tightening the mount screws to the rail this is a solid a rock. The complaints posted here are un-warranted! Once zeroed in all the recticles are on target, don't forget to tighten the recticle adjustment screww but not to tight!

I received this product today and installed it on my Mossberg 500A Shotgun with no problems. The product came with 2 batteries, one already in the sight and an extra in the box, and a cleaning cloth for the lens. I will either upgrade or downgrade this product once I have had a change to use it on the range. Wow, I can't wait!!

The sight works well, but I had to crank it to an extreme level for it to fire straight. It was so off set that the spring in the back lossened when firing a Mini-14. The sight ended up falling off my rifle, not something I want to happen when I need it.

I bought this for my flat top m4. Works great for me. I'm sure it would not hold up to being subjected to the elements or harsh conditions but i am not in iraq fighting a war and i take extreme care of my gear. I have no problem seeing any of the reticles even in daylight. It's right on the money when i line the dot up with the front iron sight (mine is fixed on the barrel and can't be removed). For the guy that said the reticles are blurry: the proper way to aim is to focus on the target, not on the sight right in front of your eye. it's perfectly clear when u do. If you want a good sight for a very low price u should try it.

Don't buy, shorts out easily.

I bought this sight about 6 months ago for my AK and only got to take it out shooting twice before it broke down on me. While trying to get it more accurately zeroed at the range after about three mags of 7.62x39 the dot just disappeared. I always had it on the highest setting so I took it down to 0 and back up to 7 again and it was fine for 2 shots then turned off again! After a couple more times like that it just shut off and I had to take the battery out and swap it with the extra one, it turned on but only when the dial was set IN BETWEEN THE SETTINGS! Things a piece of crap, now I'm just $70 farther away from an EOtech... for an AK which is just ridiculous but it's apparently the only way I can trust it.

I was very happy with the sight at first. It holds zero pretty well, even when cycling between the different reticles. It will lose zero after firing a good bit of .22LR ammo. The big problem is you can't use it on a sunny day because it just isn't bright enough to see at all! It okay for the price when compared to the high end stuff.

i was a bit wary because of several bad reviews, but i thought it was worth a shot because of the price. the sight mounted just fine, didn't have a problem with the screws being stripper. (you just have to know how to go overboard with the tightening). simple to sight, although when i mounted the sight it was about 10 inches off. handles the shock from my M4 just fine.

My experience with this sight: * mounted fine, didn't have the problems with stripped threads that others did, but * could not get it to hold a zero on the windage, with or without locking screw tightened, and * the locking screw would not stay tightened anyway. * The various reticles do not align with each other. You'd have to re-zero your gun to use a different reticle with any accuracy. * The dot is a little bit fuzzy with any reticle, though this would be OK if the thing worked otherwise. Apparently, there's a reason that this costs $65 while similar looking sights from EOTech start at $365.

I was surprised at the quality of this sight for the price. No problems mounting and has survived quite a few rounds through my Mossberg 500 SP. I went to zero the scope and found it to be almost dead center of the pattern at 25 yards right out of the box. If it breaks (still may be too good to be true) I will post another review. The reticle is bright enough for most light conditions; I only use the curcle/dot configuration.

Normally I am very pleased with CTD equipment and have had good luck with a Barska scope. When I saw all of the good reviews I thought this would be a good solution. Most of the threads of one of the mounting holes stripped out the first time I tighened down the screw while mounting the scope. The way the threads stripped the screw wouldn't start theading and it wouldn't mount. Suprisingly CTD refered me to the manufacturer instead of offering a replacement or alternate solution. The manufacturer was helpfull but I had to pay shipping. I found a longer screw on my own (to avoid the shipping) and mounted the scope. Once mounted the recticule would move around everytime I changed recticule types. It wouldn't stay centered, let along hold zero. I've always had great luck with CTD but this one was a real dud.

I got this in last week and mounted it to my M4 immediately. It came pretty close to zero so I didn't have to spend too much time sighting it. It's a great buy for the money and I would recommend it for any one that just likes to go to the range and blast. The extra battery it came with was a plus.

Mounted it on my M-4. It gave a nice sight picture but broke from the recoil after less than 40 rounds the first time out shooting. It only lasted long enough to get sighted in. Can't trust it.

i purchased one of these based on the reviews that it had. i assumed that it was of a higher quality that the other ones that look just like it. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME! the elevation screw was broken right out of the box. i have been trying to get an RMA number for the past 3 days. the email i received from customer service told me to call barska instead of giving me an RMA number! i am going to attempt to call CTD and get the number personally, but as i said, beware! these sights are apparently all the same, based on the reviews of others and my personal experience with this product.

This is an outstanding product! I just didn't have to coin to plop down on a $400 sight for my M&P 15. So, based on the favorable reviews, I figured I'd give this baby a try. So far, I have only great things to report. It's plenty bright out in the sun, mounts nice and tight, and looks super bad. After 250+ rounds it has held zero. The only issue I've found is that you do need to re-zero this sight when using the different reticle. So, I just picked one and stuck with it. So far, so good. A great buy for the money!

it looked good right out of the box but things went wrong as soon as i mounted it. it sat crooked on the rail and was a little loose so i tightened it up and the base of the sight stripped out. no biggie, i got some indistrial glue. after that i noticed that the cover of the laser was cracked. totally useless to me now. 70 bucks down the drain. be careful with this product because you get what you pay for sometimes...

This is a wonderful sight. I bought one for my AK-47 and I am now going to get one for my M4. Plenty bright enough and a great quick switch setting in between the different sights. Great buy. don't waste your money on a different red dot. unless its a EOtech.

Excellent product for the price. I didn't want to put a 400 dollar sight on a 500 dollar gun so this fit the bill perfectly. Only draw back is the battery cover, but if you hold the dial with one hand and turn the battery cover with the other isnt much of a problem.

Was looking for a sight with good quality/value. Didn't want to drop the $$ on EOT. This fit the bill nicely. Put this on my 9mm carbine to have something better than the original iron sights (which my 40 yr old eyes had trouble peeping through after a box or two). Anyway, CTD delivered (as usual) . . . the sight installed quickly (5-10 mins) . . . took it to the local indoor range and sighted it in. Took about 9 rounds, then I was cutting centers. I'd say that's pretty good. We'll see how it holds up, but first impressions are good.

I have a 512 EOTech on my AR and love it. I bought this for my new GSG-5. I just could not justify putting a $400 sight on a $450 gun. I am amazed at the quality of this sight! Don't get me wrong...it's no EOTech...but it gets the job done! If you are looking for the most bang for your buck...you can't go wrong here!

I have an Eotech 512 on my H&K UMP conversion, and when purchasing a similar style optic for my .22 plinker pistol, I wasn't really keen for dropping another $350. So I came to CTD and looked for the optic that was getting the best ratings, and this was it. I ordered it, and I have to say that I really like it. It is put together well and durable, and after getting it sighted in, I am very impressed with it. If you are looking for a red dot optic for under $100 for casual use, this is the one to buy.

I've installed this on my Mossberg 500 18.5" 12-gauge shotgun and this sight hasn't missed a beat in over 40 rounds of buckshot and slugs. It seems to keep its zero after each shot without issue. The only problem for it is that it doesn't keep the zero when switching between the four reticle options, but it's not a big deal if you only stick to only one type. I'm also dubious about it's durability from being struck (if I drop the shotgun, for example), but since this is only a home-defense/range shotgun, I'm finding the sight a very good value.

Another quick delivery with a quality product that was cheaper than...well..dirt. I recomend this Barska Electro sight for anyone who has something to put it on. I ordered this sight for my RRA AR-15,this thing has really spoiled me already, I wouldn't have any other sight on my rifle. Was little worried bout recoil but so far so good! I would like to get one for my .357mag but I dont know how that would work out or how I would mount it. This sight was very close to zero out of the box, CTD has done it again and I will continue to do business, they are dependable and fast delivery every time. Thanx!!
