I had this mounted on my Mossberg 590 Persuader. I must say this is a good, decent cheap sight for plinking and target shooting. I can't attest for how well it holds a zero since I had it mounted on a shotgun as a reflex sight, but it did hold up, even after putting number rounds of 3" 00 buckshot, high powers, etc. Definitely no EOTech though and you have to be gentle with it (don't drop it, etc) so don't go thinking you can go to combat with it.

save your cash I bought one of these for a Taurus 357 mag. with a 6 1/2 " barrel. I have shot it about 200 times and still cannot get it to hold zero. Looks good but performs poorly. Mike

Looks really nice, mounts fast and tight. Put it on my M70 yugo, went to the range and 100 rounds later ( I never dropped it) the screen is cracked. So if you don't shoot it, and just want something cool looking on your gun this is it.

This sight is crap. The whole top half moves on the base -and there is no way to tighten it down. Will not hold zero. For the Yuppies who have no clue: a zero is not only indicative of your IQ, it is also how we accurately tune a sight. The Barska holo sight will bounce around on the base, making it impossible to maintain an accurate zero. This thing doesn't even deserve 1 star, it's borderline fraud to sell defective equipment as new and usable. (Listen to the people who really tested it. It's garbage.) I don't know why some people cannot wait until they use an item before posting a review, but simply getting it in the mail doesn't qualify you to make a review -this isn't Ebay.

I have bought 4 of these over the last year. I returned the first two after the first time I took them to the range. I mounted them on my Ruger 22 hunter and they did not last long. The first one after 50 rounds would no longer hold center. The second one never worked out of the box. The third works well, only it no longer shuts off at the zero, now is turns off at the 2 setting. The forth is on my Glock, stays where you set it but I have to set the intensity setting to max to see the dot. Having said the above, for the money I would look elsewhere, at the time I bought them they were at $35.00.
